Revenge of the Sith--I've seen it!

Well, you can all relax. While ROTS isn't a masterpiece, it's pretty darn good.

I managed to slip into a preview showing earlier today and had a thoroughly good time. Yes, it's pretty grim in places. Yet if anything, I'd say it wasn't grim enough.

The opening battle will have your jaw hitting the floor. Wall-to-wall butt-kicking on a cosmic scale. And the betrayal of the Jedi...well, it really, really hurts. Even when you know it's coming, it hurts.

Oh, yes. This one's a keeper.

Was chattingh with a fellow at the post office who caught a preview also - he said theopening shot was 'breathtaking' and the first 30 mins are much better than the last twofilms combined. He loved it - said it was the movie fans had expected from 'The Phantom Menace.'

I'll catch a matinee opening day! :-)

17 cents of every ticket dollar ends up at the DNC

on that basis we'd never see another feature film ... on the screen or DVD

The answer is, if you're a Star Wars fan, YES!

While I can't stand Lucas' political views, I'll still sit through THIS movie. Personally, I can't wait to see it.
And, to ease the burden, I'll go during a matinee showing.

Jar Jar didn't really destroy me. TPM's 'Exsqueeze me' and a few of his antics really hurt, since I'm a huge SW fan. Still, TPM is a good Star Wars movie.

Attack of the Clones was a really solid movie, in general. I really liked it.

Revenge of the Sith is looking to be the best prequel, and easily up the originals.

He's not lying about the first 30 minutes. The movie is good throughout, but the first half hour or so is the best part. Not just because of the blazing action, but also because it's fun, in a way the recent Star Wars films haven't been. It's actually funny in places, not forced Jar Jar funny, but clever and puckish. Absolutely the first part of this movie is the best filmmaking Lucas has done in years.

Hollywood is overwhelmingly liberal. Depending on who is
the studio, distributor, producer, director, actors, all
the way down the credits, you need to assume that a
varying percentage of your ticket dollar ends up funding
people who endorse taxing, controlling, enslaving and
killing you.

I very rarely go to (or even rent) movies anymore.
The above is part of why.

Is Lucas a real bad liberal? I've honestly (and I'm a huge fan of his) never seen him being overtly political. Surely he can't be any worse than the rest of Hollyweird.

about your tag line: ELIMINATE PERVERSE INCENTIVES

is that like stopping pedophiles from living across from schools?
I agree that something needs to be done about those perverse.

What happens, does the President give the Communists strategic missile technology in return for campaign donations, or something?

C'mon... Not even Hollywood could come up with a storyline that implausible. I mean, what kind of a low-down sociopathic slime-ball would the President have to be for that to happen! Never has their been a person so loathesome that...

Wait a minute...

He WHAT!

Oh... Nevermind...

Well Lucas is quite independent for an American moviemaker. Much moreso than Spielberg.

I haven't heard of him being overly leftist, but it's possible I suppose.

"Since 17 cents of every ticket dollar ends up at the DNC, the question becomes: is it worth paying that price (not to mention several irreplaceable lifetime hours) to see it?"

E-X-A-C-T-L-Y. I have no plans on seeing this movie. I'll wait for cable, just as I did for AOTC.

Quite.

I daresay that the few FR readers who have seen F911
paid money to do so, for this reason.

Each viewer needs to decide where to draw their line.
