Dunno about Canada geese, but I got nailed by a domestic goose when I was 14.......they bite like hell and it hurt.

BTW, domestic geese were used to protect the homestead in 16th -17th century Europe.

They are some mean bastards.

I'm looking for some babies for my yard.

The worst they can do is a pinch. All noise and flutter.
I've had them before and find them entertaining.

Once you get the dogs and them acclimated to each other they add a nice layer to the security team. They don't miss a thing.

Good pets for a grumpy old goat like me.

The few times I've been threatened by hissing geese, I was able to intimidate them, and they backed off. No stomping either, just blowing up big with my arms out to the sides and hissing back at them while I stood my ground.

Maybe I was just lucky to face down wussy geese. (Plus, I was motivated by the fact they were going after my three year old daughter at the time.)

They still are used to protect farmsteads in rural America. Watchgeese are pretty effective, but I don't think they are as effective as Guinea Fowl. They are certainly prettier than the Guineas.
