NEW YORK - Sharon Stone has adopted a baby boy. The baby was born to unknown and unrelated parents in Texas on Saturday, Stones publicist, Cindi Berger, said in a statement Wednesday.
Stone, 47, has named the baby Laird Vonne Stone. The actress has a 4-year-old son, Roan. She and her husband, Phil Bronstein, divorced in 2004 after five years of marriage.
That's an excerpt. I didn't post it right and didn't get link to article in there.
Because money replaces a father. I want to know with our corrupt adoption agencies- How much Sharon Stone paid for that baby? It's so nice she gets to keep her figure.
Excuse me? You've got me confused with someone who actually gives a spit!!!
And nannys replace mothers. (At least on Desperate Housewives...)
And a VILLAGE replaces your FAMILY, according to Hillary Clinton.
She probably didn't go through an agency and just used an attorney.
Here we have a woman Divorced, Rich, yes and famous for showing her box in a movie. We take this single mother of poor reputation, and we put her at the front of the line for adopting a kid, ahead of a family which isnt rich enough to go to the store and buy one like Stone. How did Stone who lives in Hollyweird get a Texas baby? Did she buy it from the mother?
I wish I knew how celebs adopt so fast.
Fathers are so, so, old fashioned ...
It is very fashionable to adopt babies in Hollywood these days. Wait until the kids become smart-mouthed young teenagers and we'll see how the "Beautiful People" crowd holds up to the stress.

There are plenty of middle class people on endless waiting lists- just praying for a beautiful baby.
Yes, I just read in an article that Paris Hilton now wants to have a baby in the next couple of years.
Ms. Stone will be 65 when Laird graduates from high school. Laird deserves to be adopted by a mother, not a grandmother.

I know we'd LOVE to adopt a baby.
The adoption agencies are so corrupt. It's such a tangled mess. Why does it cost so much money?! Because it's a sham- it's a baby selling business.
This thread will be a real memorial to the compassionate conservatism we have heard about, but so seldom see.
Two loving parents are best.
One loving parent is better than none.
Foster care stinks.
No one knows why Stone did not have her own biological children. No one. To accuse her of being too selfish, or wanting to retain her figure is ridiculous.
I don't know what kind of a parent she is, or will be. Neither do any of the people on this forum.
Her children were given up for adoption by a woman who would not, or could not, raise them. They were not aborted, so good for those ladies.
As for Stone, I wish her the very best. Two little guys are counting on her.
That's all I have to say. I'm sure I am virtually alone in my opinions. I don't really care.
Thank you.
I don't know about the costs, but some agencies use a sliding scale based on your income. Others do a thing where you can put money in escrow (?) for birthmother expenses, and some just have flat fees. I have no idea how much adoption attorneys charge or even how they work.
Uh - does that mean the parents were not related to each other or to her? A weird way of putting it.
