PAPER: Border Patrol told to stand down in Arizona... Border Patrol agents have been ordered not to arrest illegal aliens along the section of the Arizona border where protesters patrolled last month because an increase in apprehensions there would prove the effectiveness of Minuteman volunteers, WASHINGTON TIMES has learned.... Developing...
the "Numbers" refer to apprehensions. if they "Stand Down", the apprehensions will be abnormally low, making it look like the Minutemen didnt accomplish anything, which would be an absolute lie.
Never underestimate the greed of construction companies, real estate companies, and others who employ the cheap labor of illegals.
And NEVER forget: YOU SHMUCK - NOT THE COMPANY - IS PAYING FOR IT when they run to the hospital emergency for a nose bleed.
Link to story, ping.
You do not know that this has come from our presiden, and he is anything but a moron.

Fingers are not working too well this morning.
and we all know that Nicely has been lying from the time he opened his mouth at the public meeting with Kolbe and the area residents before the MMP even started.
Give that man two weeks R&R in Melborne! You picked the most likely BP boss who would have given the order.
This sounds more like it came from an obsessive control freak politico like Rove, especially because he is covering for what is turning into a career-threatening black eye for the GOP. I can just picture the phone call now: 'These reports about crossings falling are making us look bad. Is there anything you can do to help make this look like the Minutemen were ineffective?'
Given past actions it shouldn't be too long before the Rank and File of the BP Union come out and confirm it.
Speaking of Roosevelt, I read edmund morris's the rise of theodore Roosevelt a couple years ago. GREAT BOOK. In it, ( and I have to find it again) there was some kind of treaty we signed with mexico back then that we agreed to take imigrants, for some reason or another. I just found a copy of the book and will have to dig for it. I remember thinking at the time..... hmmmm I wonder if that is why we dont enforce the borders....
I posted this earlier today, its an older article. After reading it, it explains the Bush Policy on immigration. Especially the last 3 paragraphs.
If this report holds up, it should concern every American. This is front-page stuff for The Washington Times. I suspect it's Page C34 stuff for The New York Times.
The key is to make sure it gets to O'Reilly, this story and the story about automatic weapons being fired at BP from the Mexican side of the border. He's been on a crusade on this topic, and he's been one of the only real outspoken voices that people get to see.
You're right about O'Reilly. Some FReepers can't stand him because he occasionally takes the opposite side of an issue as they do. However, O'Reilly is usually on the correct and conservative side when he really gets energized about something. He makes things happen.
I took my R&R in Sydney. The mini-skirted Sheilas were abundant* as was the booze. Stayed at the Hampton Court Hotel at Kings Cross. AH !!! Heaven in a nutshell after 10 months in country.
Sorry for the off subject reply, but just had to respond. 8^)
