Mexico has been seeking an accord with Washington for years to make it easier for millions of illegal Mexican immigrants to live and work in the United States.

How about we take over that backwater hellhole known as Mexico and make it a territory of the United States? We could then appoint some governors, seize their assests and clean up the mess on our southern border.

...and said Mexican migrants do jobs "that not even blacks want to do."

This is an outrageous put-down of black AMERICAN CITIZENS by Fox while he insists that the US does not have a right to protect our borders against his illegal alien Mexican citizens. Talk about arrogant, crass, brazen, insolent audacity!!

"Bilateral," to Fox, means that if we ship more dope to the gringos, we can use more of the SUVs that Pancho steals and ships back.

Did we ever get the Rio Grande water that we were due under that old treaty or did the Mexicans find yet another reason to reneg?

Fox's point is simply that the illegal alien Mexican criminals send so much money back to Mexico that that pissant country couldn't survive without the money and, of course, Fox, Mrs. Fox and the drug lord PANistas would be much less wealthy.

If we would quit using the brute force of the federal government to take money from people that work to give to people who won't work, those "jobs Americans won't do" would get a whole lot more popular.

You're right. The problem isn't immigration, the problem is socialism. Too many Freepers attack people who are seeking the opportunity to work and live in the freedoms of the United States, instead of attacking the socialism that some Americans and immigrants feast on.

We really do not want to take on any more of Mexico's over population problem than we already have. The poverty would overwhelm us. If anything is to be done with Mexico it is Mexico's responsibility. Not ours.

That is true, and is the generally the case in the rest of Laton America.

And, those same newspapers don't disguise their "re-conquest" agenda for the US Southwest and Texas.

Oh the tears and outrage from that bastion of corruption, Mexico! What country other than the US will take the pressure off of a Mexican society and a goverment that has failed for well over a century to provide a stable, modestly growing, fairly just economy for its own citizens. Its incompetence is legendary. And it acts like the typical self-created victim, a parasite that blames someone, something else.
Time is getting short for the US to get tough or get badly hurt.

This rhetoric is getting more and predictable as time goes on and we'll continue to see more from both sides as this debate heats up. I'm firmly convinced that the seeds are being sown for future ethnic conflict that will 'divide and conquer' this great nation unless we get true leadership from Washington. It's obvious that the pols and MSM have conveniently shifted the attention of most Americans away from from the realities of ill. immigration through sports, MJ, Scott Peterson, Martha ,etc. while providing cover for the newly arrived colonists (reconquitas) from south of the border. Meanwhile, CONgress has bent over backwards to SNEAKILY give them every type of benefit under the sun.

Now we see more and more attention being suddenly devoted to the problems arising from this influx of illegals and the temperature of the debate is being turned up a degree at a time. After seeing what's planned with the FTAA and the new American Union being slowly implemented by the multinationals and their useful idiots in Congress what's coming down the pike is becoming more apparent as time goes on.

Oh, I absolutely agree! But perhaps if we start making some noise about taking over Mexico's assests unless and until she straightens up her own mess, Vincente Fox may get serious about protecting HIS borders!

Mexican President Vicente Fox... said Mexican migrants do jobs "that not even blacks want to do."

Speaks volumes about Fox. Can you imagine if a US Congressman much less a President had said this?

"...not even blacks want to do".

LOL!

Picturing in my mind's eye just how quickly Babs Boxer and Harry Reid et al would be screaming for a resignation if a Republican Senator had uttered the phrase.

Better yet, can you imagine Trent Lott saying this? This whole forum would have been for a neck-tie party.

I have been saying that for years. It only makes sense, they have lots of raw materials and willing labor, all they need is the capital and know how, and we have that.

I would really like to know what the real story is on these Mexican illegals, there has got to be more to it than what we see.

I suspect it is more like the populist movements (Condi's description) that are taking hold in South America are stirring in Mexico. Fox is relieving the pressure by shipping as many people as he can to the U.S. to make some money and to learn about capitalism as an inoculation to the communist movement sweeping his way.
