Consumer market ? Illegals depress the wages of American citizens. How does that impact the consumer market ? How much money will someone whose family is in Mexico spend in the US ?
They don't depress the wages of American citizens. The American citizen isn't interested in working for $10-$12 per hour for his unskilled services.
If there weren't any Hispanics to gladly lineup to do the job, there wouldn't be say....a half dozen different choices in who cuts your lawn.
You'd do it yourself, or call the ONE that costs too much.
Supply and demand also pertains to workforce...not just products.
