Mr. CORNYN. Mr. President, on Monday, the Senate will resume consideration of the nomination of Priscilla Owen to serve as a circuit judge on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Monday will be the fourth consecutive day the Senate considers the Owen nomination.
Over the past 3 days, a number of Members, on both sides of the aisle, have come to the floor to speak on the nomination. We have conducted over 25 hours of debate, and we will continue on Monday. Moments ago, we filed a cloture motion on the nomination, and that will ripen on Tuesday of next week.
On behalf of the majority leader, I remind my colleagues the leader has announced our next rollcall vote will occur Monday afternoon at 5:30. That vote will be on a motion to instruct the Sergeant at Arms to request Senators' attendance. Senator Frist will have more to say about next week's session on Monday.
Whew!
I was trying to ignore her.
What a LAUGH...........Hillary! Clinton scolding US about the "immediate gratification" of the current President. Freud would have a field day with her.
what could cause such a change in her choppers?
I bet a bunch of democrats would cross over if it was a secret ballot.
LOL.indeed..how could she "sink" to such a low..
She was president of the ACLU and got 98 votes. That should say it all about votes on judges.
Sure, she has the RINOs' in that lockbox that Rush talks about!

For the trivia buff, "Motion to instruct Sergeant at Arms to request Senators' attendance" is also known as a "live quorum."
Roll Call! Is that who I think it is in the Big chair?
Freud would need therapy himself if he had either Hill or her eunuch as patients.
The President!!
Will Reid try to get in a few shots?
Is there any possibility of a secret ballot, at all?
Listen Sen.Depends, that's the main reason why they are NOT secret! It's called accountability, you moron!
Whew, I feel better now.
Something to do with a bunch of FBI files, and then there are all those Arkanicides. Be afraid, be very afraid. Just don't let your fear make you not do the right thing.
Use the Second Amendment. That Force is with us!
Yes, there is, by unanimous consent. Fat chance!
Is this vote a "get your stinkin' butts here I have to tell you something?" vote?
