John Kasich to oppose DeWine?
Sean Hannity Program | May 27, 2005Hannity | Zechariah11

Posted on 05/27/2005 2:11:04 PM PDT by Zechariah11

On the Sean Hannity Program today there was serious discussion that former Congressman John Kasich could challenge Senator Mike DeWine in next year's Republican primary in Ohio. Besides being a former congressman Kasich is known as a fill-in host of Fox News Channel.

I'd vote for Adolf Hitler if he rose from the dead and ran against DeWeenie.

John has his own program on Sat night - Heartland. I don't believe he would take the pay cut. Plus, his show is live out of Columbus, so he is at home with his family most of the time.

Its VERY worth it to tear the statewude party apart.

We need true believers in the partyu, not RINOS, no matter what the cost.

If I still lived in Ohio I'd vote for a Dummycrap before I voted for DeWine or the mobster's friend Voinovich. At least I'd KNOW I was gonna get screwd in the rear instead of getting it by surprise from the enemies within, (all "moderate" Republicans are Fifth Columnists who should be purged from the party!)

IMHO, this would be great news! The RINO pubbies who are in control here are also very concerned about all the grassroot support being thrown towards "maverick conservative" Kenneth Blackwell for governor. LOVE IT!

Blackwell is awesome! I'll make the roadie from Indy to western OH to volunteer for the guy next year!

I saw Kasich in an airport once with his second wife. She's one piece of work and he made it complete.

She worked at my former place of employ. She was always a very classy lady while working there. She was a manager in Corporate Communications IIRC.

I heard this on Hannity, I don't know if Kasich will do it, but there are too many good Republicans in the Governor's race, may one will switch over to the Senate.

I believe the discussion of Kasich running was relayed from talk show host Cunningham to Hannity (on Fri.) because it was floated by Kasich the previous night.

Don't forget Olympia in '06 or is she bullet proof? Do the Moose vote in Maine?

Not in Maine, Vermont or Rhode Island. The Democrats must raid the looney bins in these states to come up with opponents.

If any good conservative challenges DeWine, I plan to drive across the state line to campaign for him.
DeWine's son is distancing himself from the compromise, but there is already a better candidate named Brinkman running.

He was also the reliable conservative in the primaries

I don't think Kasich made it to the primaries. If I recall, all left were Bush, McCain, Forbes, Keyes, Bauer and Hatch.

"...if he does the right thing, and votes for the nuclear option when it is triggered, he deserves to be reelected Am I wrong?"

We'll see. Obviously, we haven't seen the last of the Dem filibuster on judges. All will be known then.
