At the risk of being slapped, may I assert the Ann Coulter rule here (pictures mandatory)?

Seriously, as the only male in our household, I have always seen that longer hair or more complex styling cost more. Getting #1's waist length thick and heavy hair done for prom cost a whole lot more that #2's (who has a longish bob). Only place I have ever seen flat rate is for your basic cut at strip mall places or barbershops. Wife has also found that different stylist charged differently, even in the same shop.

Do I fit in that group, I am male and married with no kids, and regularly outvoted?

Well that's different. I'll say that charging a black person and a white person two different prices to style the same type hair is wrong. When I used to go to a salon, some girls made it seem as if they didn't want to do my hair. I was so big inconvenience to their assembly line wash and set situation. I've been to do different salons and home is best :-)

Ann has long hair. I'm so used to my big long lion mane that hair so straight strikes me as strange *lol*
