"I kind of wanted to be a porn star," she said. "I wasn't raped or abused."

I don't know what to say.

The difference is that Bush will have dinner with her, but Clintoon would have tried to get in her pants.

There was at least one harlot in the lineage of Jesus. That this girl is prostituting herself for money (porn is just wholesale prostitution) is not what contradicts her assertion that she's a Christian ... it is that she can continue in that life without remorse, gleefully. Were she actually a Christian, God's still small voice (His Spirit within her spirit, the earnest of her inheritance) would be ever in her ear and she could not continue in her sin with such a light heart.

Mary Carey has more class in her left nipple than this pig Burleigh has ever shown in her whole life.

Nonsense. Both Burleigh and Carey are, as I mentioned before, delusional. Burleigh is delusional about Clinton's role in maintaining Roe vs. Wade, and Carey is delusional about what she perceives as God's approval of what she does for a living per scripture.

You'll see how much influence they have in Alabama next year, that's for sure.

(and I'm personally banking it's not as much as they'd think)

There are several instances in the Bible (I can't directly quote offhand, I'm Catholic) where prostitutes were integral in accomplish some goal of Gods (particularly in the historical books)

Was anyone denying being a sinner, or was this just a failed attempt at profundity, completely irrelevant to the topic and to everyone discussing it?

This is par for the course for the so-called "South Park Conservatives" whenever someone sticks up for something resembling traditional morality and proper context of misused scripture. Whenever any of us say, "If you think the Bible says that, you're mistaken," we get hit with "You think you're all so perfect!"

so do a lot of fiscal conservative, social libertarians.
they vote republican by and large... but have big reservations regarding the constant expansion of the nanny state for the sake of 'christian moral virtues'... at gunpoint.

they represent about 30 percent of the republican party.

That's the percent with the money too. Sigh.

Easy. He made a large enough contribution to the GOP to get on the mailing list for this fundraiser.

Ah well money talks. But surely there is some background checks made before someone is invited. Surely not everyone can get in the door by making a monetary contribution.

Actually, there are probably a number of Americans (not necessarily Republicans, mind you) who consider it in poor taste for the President to be dining with the likes of Rev. Don Wildmon.

I wonder if Dr. Dobson plans on attending.

If you knowingly, habitually commit sin...you have no business calling yourself a Christian. She needs to read 1 John.

I don't know a single Christian who became sinless the moment they accepted Christ as Savior. Do you?

I bet there are people who know you or me who could point out "sin" that we "habitually commit".....

Of course some sins are more obvious than others.

First one that comes to mind is Rahab hiding Kaleb and Joshua, to save their lives.

This strikes me as a bogus, misdirection story from Newsweak or the DNC. I don't think GWB or his advisors, esp. his advisors would agree to this mtg.

You just might be surprised but then again maybe morality doesn't reside in the south anymore. ;) With the last election we saw how strong the morality voters could be with all those that came out to vote against the homosexual agenda. I think there were a few surprised people out there at how strong the vote was.

And? So were kingdoms made up of pagans, sent to crush the enemies of Israel and Judah when they were obedient and repentant and sent to crush Israel and Judah when they ran afoul of God. That did not give God's stamp of approval on their false worship.

I can't judge Mary Carey. Only God can do that. However, when she implies there is nothing un-Christian about being a porn actress, every Christian has a responsibility to say, "You're wrong, and you'd better get right."

My allusion is not to morality, it's to a supposed moral crusader who opposed Bill Pryors nomination to the 11th circuit

Used to be Chief Justice in these parts.
