There are several instances in the Bible (I can't directly quote offhand, I'm Catholic) where prostitutes were integral in accomplish some goal of Gods (particularly in the historical books)
I can think of two off the top of my head -- Tamar acted as a prostitute because Judah withheld his last son from her after his other two sons died without producing heirs. (See Genesis 37 with the whole Levirate marriage & Onan thing.) Second, of course, is Rahab the helper.
I guess Bathsheba doesn't count as a harlot, but she was an adultress. For that matter, since Ruth (great-grandmother of David) was a Moabitess, that means one of the incestuous daughters of Lot is in the lineage as well.
As for Ms. Carey, one can hope and pray for repentance. She wouldn't be the first or the last. I remember reading about this guy who liked to kill Christians who turned out pretty well...

There was rampant immorality in the lives of about six or seven of the women of the old testament that are considered amongst the faithful to God... along with the CADS that praticed serial polygamy and regularly engaged in extramarital relations with prostitutes and slaves...
Damning an actress for doing sex videos, is beyond the scope of my ability. I am glad she prays or reads her bible. God apparently meets people where THEY are, not where WE demand they SHOULD be, in order to merit his grace or attentiveness to their prayers.

And Bush is the president of a secular state, not the pope in Rome... an admitted RELIGIOUS State.
I don't want a religious nation, because this is what we will spend all our time doing... only over other stupid stuff: did you take the right communion or are you a traitor, type of stuff.

Porn is a form of prostitution. What is the moral difference from paying someone to have sex with you and paying two other people to have sex with each other while you watch?
If a man would not hire a prostitute, then he should also not look at porn. Not much of a difference.
