New search for Natalee, unconfirmed reports that a body has been found

Marriott at this moment they have made the search area larger…nothign yet….dont know if it based upon a confession or just a random search…….police has moved EVERYONE to the Marriott hotel not allowed to be close…they have seen the technical team (TOD) and the FBI that indicates that their is something but what no one knows….all press is being moved away front he area……their is an indication that they don’t want anyone to see what is happening and that maybe they found something and don’t want the press tehir…that is all they have to say…everythign indicates that they may have found something…all local and Int’l press is being moved away from the area.

they moved press far far away….they are closing off everywhere so the police can make the investigation…..another team has arrived…police…in blue coveralls…they dont know who they are….alto of police force to close off the place closing with yellow “no trespassing” tape…their is no access to the MAIN search area….they dont know if a body was found yet but unfortunately they thin that is the case…….THEIR INTERVIEWING SOME ON NOW: he was their in the morning early and they saw some “strange” things and the authority immediately took over…i dont know if the guy is in the construction area

Also in that area there was found earlier in the day a pair of women’s underwear and a number of condoms. However, this is a lovers lane type area. Not sure what to make of this last fact yet.

However, the stories now coming from the arrested group would likely place evidence in this area of the island.

From ABC News, Aruban Police Launch New Search for Teen

Nearly three dozen police officers launched a search Tuesday along a beach near the Marriott Hotel for Natalee Holloway after a former security guard alleged that one of three youths seen with the missing teenager had lied to police.

Antonius “Mickey” John said he was detained in a cell adjacent to one of the young men, 21-year-old Deepak Kalpoe, and that the two spent time talking.

John, 30, said Kalpoe told him that he and his 18-year-old brother, Satish, and their 17-year-old Dutch friend never went back to the Holiday Inn the morning of May 30, the day Holloway disappeared on this Dutch Caribbean island during a student trip.

Kalpoe said they instead dropped the Dutch youth and Holloway off near the Marriott, located just north of the Holiday Inn, on the same beach.

Police cordoned off a three-block area near the Marriott, and government spokesman Ruben Trapenberg confirmed it was yet another search for the 18-year-old from Mountain Brook, Ala., High School.

************* Update: According to Canal 90, one of the 3 boys told the cops that they burried Natalie at the Fisherman’s Huts and that the FBI has two dogs on the scene.

Yeah, I caught it...it was one of Scarborough's producers. Pretty interesting that he met the guy and then remembered him on top of that.

Joran is the perp in this case, probably with the help of the Surinamese brothers after the fact. I think he probably felt entitled to get into Natalee's pants, and when she refused, she met her horrific fate. Sadly, I think the cops down there are inept and there is a very good chance that they will miss something, and Joran will walk. But let's face it, even if they do a perfect job, and nail Joran dead to rights, he'll only do a few years.....such is the enlightened ways of Europe that bleeds into it's Carribean territories.

Fox News is saying that the search along the area near the Marriot Hotel is because a young man searching found a pair of pink panties, condoms and duck tape in the bushes.

one of the other blogs, either Scared Monkeys or Riehl World View, says that this beach is a very popular make out beach so you can't necessarily make any assumptions on those finds alone

the thing is the reports that the one brother told the one security guard they dropped Joran and Natalee off at that beach, near the Marriott

people who live in Aruba and who know where these kids live etc said Joran's story that he was dropped off first doesn't make sense, if they went to the Lighthouse, the Holiday Inn is just down the road....

I suspect Joran is the leader of the pack and got his homeboys to cover with a story they thought would work and of course once you get arrested, it's every man for himself...

they claim Joran emailed them, that part of their story can be corroborated, sounds to me like the brothers story is checking out, not Joran baby's but I speculate of course.....

What a sad story..At least the Atlanta Police Department isn't assisting in the investigation.

I am wondering however if the brothers, sitting at home, get the news from Joran that he's killed this girl or she died on him for whatever reason and he's asking what the hell to do, I do wonder if they did participate in getting rid of her body, and that part of the story they aren't telling, yet......in which case they are accessories to murder and that's serious stuff........

Yep, unfortunately that's how I see it too. I suspect that Natalee got drunk and wanted some exotic story from her last night like how she "made out" with the wild Dutch boy from the casino. Joran expected more than she was willing to give and flipped out and killed her.

I do think that his friends are involved. To what degree I'm not sure. I don't think that they would've sat this long on the information that they dropped off Joran and a perfectly fine Natalee at the Marriott unless they had something else to hide. (Perhaps they supplied a date rape drug, who knows.)

The young man who found the items in the same place said that the duck tape strips were about eight inches in length.

I still think she could have died accidentally, date rape drug or more likely ecstasy, and the kid panicked, esp if he was the one that gave it to her, either directly or slipped it in her drink

Report from Aruban radio listener at Riehl World:

TOP95 FM (Aruban radio station) reported on Monday that they have received information about the story that the suspect Joran van der Sloot gave to the police. The radio station got this information from the attorney that is representing the suspect Abraham Jones. Jones is being held at the same location as Joran and he has been hearing/getting information from within the institute.

According to the attorney ,Jones declared that Joran is convinced that he is being framed. Joran is saying that he did not go to the lighthouse with the group at all. He testified that after he left the club, he caught a ride home with his Surinamese friends, the brothers Kalpoe. At that time Natalee Holloway was in the car. Joran allegedly testified that the Kalpoes dropped him off at his home and drove off with Natalee in car. It was only afterwards (a few days later), around the swimming pool at his house, that the Kalpoes made plans to come out with one version of the events. But now it seems that they are trying to frame Joran. The attorney also told the radio station that his client has been hearing Joran van der Sloot sobbing a lot lately.
