SYDNEY (AFP) - China is using a vast network of spies in an attempt to turn Australia into a "political colony," a defector said, as it was revealed Beijing officials had been allowed to interrogate Chinese held in Australian detention centres.
Former Beijing University professor Yuan Hongbing, the fourth Chinese defector to surface in Australia in the past month, supported charges by a rebel Chinese diplomat that Beijing had an extensive network of agents in the country.
The agents are targeting Chinese dissidents and are also being used to influence political thought "to turn Australia into a political colony of China," Yuan told ABC radio.
"Political colony means the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) will use their ideology to influence Australia's politics and gradually to turn Australia to betray its fundamental principles of freedom and democracy," Yuan said through an interpretde.

Hmmmmmm geeeeeeee Maybe America? They have seen how well Russia was able to turn us to socialism in a short period of history. They have the blueprint so it does not suprise me in the least that they will subvert the countries around them. And continue to finish off the liberty that was once America.

I should have said Russia was able to work to help the humanist waste of the 60"s peace movement. Russia did not and could not have done it by themselves. Its the self loathing all knowing selfrighteous scum in the dem party.

They are a communist country and they are rapidly building up their military and modernizing it with expansion in mind. Anyone who doubts this for a moment just needs to be reminded that a central goal in the Communist outlook is to dominate the world.
I am being serious. Throughout history China has always been invaded by other people, rarely been the invader herself. You can make an argument for Tibet and Taiwan, but those are places that China considers part of China, not a foreign territory. In that part of the world Russia and Japan have been much more expansionist/imperialist than China has.
The Harpy drones have no US tech, and their sale had been approved to China in 1999.
They were sent back to Israel for service, and we threatened Israel over repairing them or even just returning them, even though the US approved their sale in '99. Basically they are model airplanes with cameras affixed. Useless in an invasion of Taiwan, unless you can land and protect the people who fly them.
China is not a communist country anymore.
