Palm Beach County prosecutors told a judge Wednesday that they want to see all of Rush Limbaugh's seized medical records to determine whether he engaged in a long-term pattern of criminal prescription drug abuse.
For the first time, prosecutors said the records could provide a crucial link between allegations by Limbaugh's former housekeeper and later allegations that Limbaugh engaged in doctor shopping for prescriptions.
The former housekeeper, Wilma Cline, and her husband, David, told investigators they sold Limbaugh "large quantities" of prescription drugs bought on the street for "many years," according to the search warrants used to seize the medical records.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Time out on the field. Allegations? Has Limbaugh been charged with something?
Has he been arrested, apprised of his rights, charged with a crime and asked how he pleads?
Isn't that how it's supposed to work?
I know that the FSC refused to hear the case. Why does he not appeal to the SCOTUS?
I'm learning about Stalins purges in school. I guess liberals never change plans!!
But still, the article says something about "allegations". Doesn't that usually mean one has been formally accused of something?
Nope. They want the records so they can get something to nail him with. It's definately a fishing expedition.

Florida needs quarantined. Now.
The allegation made by the housekeeper was that she bought drugs "on the street". That won't showup in medical records. Does the prosecutor have any solid reason to believe that he was doctor shopping?
Aside from the fact that the major crime seems to be that Wilma and her husband were purchasing and selling prescription drugs, what does their claim have to do with a search warrant? A warrant to the above statement would have to cover every prescription written to any person statewide during the time that they were dealing. The fact that they say they stopped providing drugs is not an indicator that "doctor shopping" is the only possible next step.
Liberals are like scientologists, but without the intellectual honesty and e-meter.
The state attorney's office says the records contain information that Limbaugh illegally purchased prescription painkillers and engaged in ``doctor shopping,'' or illegally deceiving multiple doctors to receive overlapping prescriptions.

``Many of the things in these records deal with medical procedures, symptoms _ things that are potentially embarrassing for my client,'' Black told a judge during a court hearing. ``They deal with intimate matters.''

He said the state's attorneys should be allowed to review the records at the same time as Limbaugh's attorneys. ``We'd just like the opportunity to tell you why the piece is important before the court excludes it,'' Martz said.

Circuit Judge Thomas Barkdull noted that the 4th District Court of Appeal ruled that prosecutors could only have ``records covered by the warrants'' which dealt with the prescription drug allegations. He gave no indication after the 30 minute hearing on when he would rule. But he denied another motion by Black to return the records to Limbaugh.

I just can't see the danger to the health, welfare or safety of the public if Mr. Limbaugh or anyone else doctors shops to get the prescriptions they need for their own use. Pain management is under seige in Florida and a lot of other places. Patients should have a right to obtain medical care that they need- not the care the State says they need.
Michael Jackson had some witchy, lyin unfit Muther that was the cause of all his problems. but Rush, well drug dealers are the pillars of the community. WOW, they want to get Rush (who has long stnding back problems)for actually going to Doctors.
Do we know who initially made the "later allegations that Limbaugh engaged in doctor shopping"?

Maybe it affects the Commerce Clause.
