PETA is an Animal's Worst Friend
Canada Free Press ^ | Thursday, June 23, 2005 | Nathan Tabor

What? Yes, you read the title right. PETA is the worst friend an animal could have these days. Normally an organization takes its mission statement and tries to fulfill it. Not PETA.

In their 25th year fighting for the rights of all animals "PETA believes that animals have rights and deserve to have their best interests taken into consideration, regardless of whether they are useful to humans. Like you, they are capable of suffering and have an interest in leading their own lives; therefore, they are not ours to use–for food, clothing, entertainment, experimentation, or any other reason."

Back to reality and what PETA really does. PETA doesn’t stand for the "ethical treatment of animals." According to the Center for Consumer Freedom, in 2003 alone PETA killed over 85% of the dogs, cats, puppies and kittens it took into its care. During the same time the Norfolk SPCA and Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 73% and 66% of its animals respectfully. A nearly opposite turnover.

Take that PETA. Exposed as the ideological extremist frauds you are. Anyone who genuinely cares about animals should be asking PETA some hard questions now...

Thoughts?

PETA is a domestic terrorist group destroying scientific reseach into cancer and other diseases, while it cruelly slaughters vast numbers of defenseless animals.

Plus they are certifiable morons.

PETA is not any different from any other COMMUNIST front group, which claims to be in existence for a fraudulent
reason, but their real agenda is to simply cripple all
free market industries related to animals in the U.S..

The environmental groups are in existence for the same
reasons; to cripple our industries and try to bring
America down.

They are all frauds and take advantage of ignorant Americans who are to willing to get involved with wrong headed causes.

How about getting involved with saving America for a change; like helping to return it to a constitutional republic????????

This is why I only support my local no kill shelters. Your local County animal care centers immediately kill many animals daily too....worse than peta.....

Tell us how you really feel.

I love animals too, some of them happen to taste delicious. And if God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

At least you can respect that. They are re-integrating the animals into society. Finding them good homes and actually saving them. They don't compare chicken farms to the Holocaust (like PETA did), or kill their animalss.

If you care about animals, fine and good. I love dogs myself, as they're fantastic, loyal, affectionate pets. Don't go overboard. Don't exploit them for political purposes. And above all, don't kill them and claim you stand for their ethical treatment.

Or she's into S&M. And I don't dig that...Ditto for that weird animal cosplay stuff she's got going on.

Seriously, there are plenty of fine animal charities out there folks. PETA is not one of them. They are left wing radical terrorists, only slightly less extreme than the Weathermen, for example, who regularly and openly commit conspiracy, vandalism, public nuisance, mischief, arson, theft, breaking and entering, grand theft, larceny, AND cruelty to animals, all in the name of helping animals. Give to an animal charity, by all means. Do NOT, under any circumstances, give even a copper cent to PETA.

Ditto. I eat meat, and I used to ride horses, and I am learning to hunt, but I do genuinely love animals and respect many of them. PETA just uses their suffering as a political tool towards an end. Who here can say hidden agenda?

It occured to me as I was drowning the June bugs that decided to nibble on my garden plants that those PETA people are awfully inconsistent. Only *some* animals are worth wringing their hands over. I bet they don't think twice about the billions of insects that give so that PEATA people can have unblemished vegetables.

I learned the truth about PETA years ago, while serving on the board of a no-kill animal shelter in Dallas. I've personally campaigned against their rotten organization ever since.

It's gratifying to see that anti-PETA voices are beginning to be heard. I have genuine contempt for their hypocracy. Thanks for this thread. I suspect it's going to take time and effort to dismantle the image they so carefully engineered for their fund-raising purposes.
