Afternoon Update
June 27th, 2005 by Scared Monkeys -->
Riehl World has some updates.
Just had a communication from Aruba - search dogs have gotten a hit in quarry near the Van der Sloot house, dive team being rounded up.
For what it is worth I just read the above on Sacred Monkeys.....
To: TexKat
There are evidence flags up around the area. Wonder what these could be? Footprints or tire tracks? Or possibly blood or other physical evidence? (Could they just be invisible points which caused the dogs to signal?) This is a good sign, though, that she will soon be found. "Good" in the sense of getting her back to her family and hopefully punishing her murderer(s).

This is not the Google map, but it is good:

my guess is once you get to the google map...(zoom in as far as you can)
find on the left shore the big wetlands (remember those?) then move to the right in almost a straight line, you will see a small blue area (not large) that is probably the quarry nearest to Joran's house.

Soooooo, if the crimes are not reported, then Aruba has a zero crime rate.
That's quite a little scam they have going on there.
Another reason to be on this thread - to educate oneself about the real world, not just what they print in the travel brochures or what you might or might not hear from the travelers' grapevine.
Very sad.

I've read all my back log of newspapers and this thread, so I am once again current.
I think we can all assume that "if" JVDS was left to dispose of her alone, that he couldn't have done a thorough job.

From Riehl World/post
The quarry they are diving in now is in Moko, about 4 miles from Montaña. Its deep, dirty and has way to much water to pump out.
The VDS home has never been boarded up in spite of some reports on this blog.
The pres interferring is DUTCH, not ARUBAN! as far as radio reports go.

There definitely needed to be something to spark that confidence.
When this case finally/hopefully comes to the end and we get the info that's been kept out from the public I bet most of us will be surprised by what they knew.
And if the case goes nowhere because of lack of evidence and co-operation causing urine to go free, I bet someone visits urine vdS and 'politely' asks him to tell the truth.

I am cubicle bound fo a couple of more hours.

What happened to the blog archives for every month except Jan. and Feb. 2005 (I think that's the only two left)? He has archive locations for 12/2004 - 06/2005.
Hmmmm....I don't know much about these blog "thingies"...is there a way to see if they were there and were deleted?

I've found out that very often they mark the site with these. It is a sign that the dogs have definitely found a human body, I suppose. The divers are in the murky quarry water now. Ugh. Prayers for the Holloway-Twitty family. What horrors they must be going through as they wait.
