"We warned the British government repeated. We have carried out our promise and carried out a military attack in Britain after great efforts by the heroic mujahedeen over a long period to ensure its success."

"We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all crusader governments that they will receive the same punishment if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan," the statement went on.

It was signed: "The Secret Organization of Al Qaeda in Europe."

AQ could have just as easily carried out these attacks in NY or DC or any other American city. What they don't want to do is unify Americans and listening to calls this morning on C-SPAN's Washington Journal, I believe their calculation on that count is correct. America will stay divided. What AQ wanted to do was let their followers and the world know that they are still viable.

If we had any sense we'd control our borders. Sure we can't catch all of the terrorists that have two-stepped over the border since 911 but we could at least turn the spigot off. I'm waiting to see if our national policy on border security will change after this attack or will we keep ignoring the problem and simply buy more duct tape. Until we control our borders homeland defense in this country will remain a joke.

When you read these statements they are so bizzare it sounds almost like a Monty Python or Saturday nite live skit. It makes the horribleness of the content even more awful cause they mean all this.
