I'm sure you meant carte blanche tout court (at home, abroad any where).
They attacked London BECAUSE: 30% of the METROPOLITAN POLICE (trained to confront terrorist attacks since the IRA bombings) was transfered to Scotland to protect the G8. Hence London was left with LESS security.
I would have thought that was pretty obvious....
When it stops them from continuing their Terrorist agenda.
I do fear that the level of brutality (civilian casualties) that a winner in this war would have to aspire is too high a standard for the USA to meet. We will be unable to pull the trigger in time and will therefore lose the war by an activated fifth column in our own country(democrats). We are fighting a house to house battle against a foe that can re-populate a terrorist dwellings faster than we can progress against them.

nope, first time here. i've been hearing about London all day and it's just got me all pissed off. i thought about what i wrote, and after thinking about it, i wouldn't even know where to go to war anymore..they are everywhere.
