Criminal Contempt Could Lengthen Reporter's Jail Stay

Lawyers in the CIA leaks investigation are concerned that special prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald may seek criminal contempt charges against New York Times reporter Judith Miller, a rare move that could significantly lengthen her time in jail.
Miller, now in her 10th day in the Alexandria jail, already faces as much as four months of incarceration for civil contempt after refusing to answer questions before a grand jury about confidential conversations she had in reporting a story in the summer of 2003. Fitzgerald and Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas F. Hogan have both raised the possibility in open court that Miller could be charged with criminal contempt if she continues to defy Hogan's order to cooperate in the investigation of who may have unlawfully leaked the name of undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame to the media.

Judith was probably the link between Plame/Wilson and the editorial staff and publisher of the NY Slimes.
If she talked, she would have to admit that her friends Plame/Wilson created this bs story years ago. She mentioned it to her editors/publisher, and then the NY Slimes decided to run with it to try and electronically lynch GW.
What was Millers relationship with Plame/Wilson before this?
What was Miller's relationship with Foley, Plame's CIA boss before he suddenly retired after the Plame Game Gate broke?
What is the relationship between NY Senator Chuckie and Wilson and Miller before the sham story broke?
I remember the NYT jumping in the story to pursue every avenue with a vengeance.

This will be interpreted by the Dems as meaning that even more evidence is accumulating against Rove.

And, certainly, Joe should be fried.
If it turns out to be someone the left doesn't want to take down you'll see a quick about face on their part and they'll suddenly and miraculously discover what we all already know. Plame wasn't covert and no crime was committed.
If there is an issue of violating or breaching of National Security, it just seems that there must be something which merits a more severe sentence than another six months. Perhaps at this time, Miller should be considered a criminal suspect in a much more serious crime?
The Times has a long story this morning about a related memo COLIN POWELL was carrying around on Air Force One around the time of the leak. In contrast to their treatment of Rove, it attributes no suspicion to Powell. But he's the only one mentioned in the story.
This was a memo prepared for the State Dept by a staffer who attended and took notes at the meeting at the CIA where Mrs. Wilson introduced her husband after recommending him for the Niger job. This memo was turned over to the grand jury and is thought to be the first instance where admin officials were discussing the wife's role in Wilson's selection.
Powell makes sense in many ways. He was always working the media. Novak described his source as "no partisan gunslinger"..exactly the way most of the media would describe Powell. Now we find out he had the memo and was seen with it on AF One. Hmmm. If it's Powell, the NY Times is in a pickle....it's almost as bad as if they had some negative info on that media darling John McCain!
Contact Investor Relations at the NY Times parent company and tell them that paying hush money to keep an employee silent about criminal behavior is against the law and against the Sarbanes-Oxley act:
