You bastards who give us 10 seconds of support and then endlessly whinge "it's all your own fault" are not just useless, you're aiding the enemy. Do yourself a favour and shut up about things you obviously know nothing about.

Individually and Nationally Britain is fighting for freedom, and all people can talk about is British Gun control.

What has British gun control got to do with America? Especially as the ignorance on Britain is startling.

The embassy takeover about 20 years ago, SAS shot them all. Witnesses said some had surrendered and were sitting alongside a wall inside building.

You are almost right. All the terrorists inside the building were killed, but in the evacuation some of the terrorists tried to pose as hostages and escape down the stairways. They were pointed out by the other hostages and killed by the SAS...except for one. After the evacuation was complete and the hostages were being counted in the grounds, one more terrorist was identified. He (name of Fowzi Nejad) is currently in prison serving a 25 year term. Which means he is probably due for release about now....

Re #45:

It looks as if the Bobby on the right might be using an old De Lisle Commando Carbine.

http://bastardsinc.blogs.com/bastardsinc/images/new_and_old_45_delisle_carbines.html

Developed in WW-II, they were (and still could be) virtually silent, yet lethally effective out to 100 meters and beyond.

I would think that in urban applications such as this, it would be about ideal. No gunshots to alarm the neighbors, and the perp never knows what hit him.

Oh BTW I sent a fan mail letter to the care of the Arsenals for Fredrik Lunjberg and I had to go to a US Post office to send it then I had to declare what was in the package.

I laughed I am a Fam of the Soccer Player Freddy it is mail.

No not so funny I had to declare the contents...

I hope Fredrik comes to America for a visit.

I asked you nicely to give it a rest - this is a breaking news thread of some concern to those of us who are in London so could you put your silly ill-informed opinions aside for the morning please?

Ah, Fox says London police are evacuating a mosque. Let's hope they demolish it.

There is a "time and place" rule in standard etiquette.

Criticizing the policies of our British cousins' government while they are under attack from terrorists is a violation of that rule.

Thank you.

"Telephoned bomb threat to the mosque."

Why'd you do that?
Just kidding. I guess tempers are finally starting to flare up over there.

If this guy was not a bomber, there will be Hell to pay.

I really don't think so. Its obvious that the police can't take any chances under these circumstances and people really do understand that and any that don't are going to get very short shrift, believe me.

Did you see the report yesterday that they have approved a new sniper rifle? The new one in FULLY automatic with a muliple round clip. Allows for shooting more targets!

How long will it be for "Senator" Durbin criticizes the British police as "Nazis" for not bringing this "dissident" in the Tube crumpets and tea?

"'SUICIDE BOMBER' SHOT"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Police have shot a suspected suicide bomber at a tube station in south London.

Reports are also coming in that a mosque in the east of the capital has been surrounded by armed officers and residents told to stay indoors.

In the first incident, marksmen opened fire near Stockwell Tube station as passengers were evacuated. It is thought the man was killed."

MadIvan and most Britons are just as responsible for these attacks as we are for September 11th. Which is to say - NOT.

They did not bring this on themselves, and they are not to be attacked for being attacked. They deserve our eternal gratitude for being our friends and our allies during this war...

Britons are America's true friends, and to insinuate they are less is to denigrate the sacrifice of all those Britons who have given their lives in defense of freedom.
