To many folks here, as long as they're kids, they should get a free pass on such things, because "every kid does it."

Haven't seen anyone recommend a free pass, but just think being shot was a bit extreme.

I'm 54 years old, and when I was growing up, I can honestly say I never did anything like that. Having said that, what would have happened to me if I did would be the man in the car would have grabbed me, waylaid me good, taken me home to my father and my father would have offered payment for damages, if any, and then when the driver left, my father would have waylaid me and told me how much money I owed him, and how I was going to earn it.

Now the driver is afraid of the perps enough to shoot them, and the perps will end up suing the guy they terrorized, and most likely win.

Some have asked where the father was in all this,...I'll bet he doesn't know his father, and his mother is with his sister's father making a new brother. The police may find her in a day or two when she's out of crack money.

Definately a bit extreme, but I have to wonder if the guy deserves life in prison. He was being goaded, heavily. And 7 teenagers throwing eggs at a moving car is not just your average couple of kids egging a garage door in the middle of the night. 7 teens is pretty much a mob.

I think the guy is going to have to get some time for overreacting but it's hard for me to give him murder 1.

This entire situation never should have happened. 7 teens should never have been out at 11pm throwing eggs at moving cars, and neither should the driver have gotten so angry that he opened fire on the kids.

Ick. What a mess.
