I love the phrase "occupied territories."
The only "occupied territories" I know about are the portions of Isreal occupied by paleostinian savages.

They could help by establishing diplomatic links with Israel first as a sign of goodwill....oh wait, arab regimes and goodwill go together like Hillary clinton and truth.

Why then do you think that the Bush administration has invested so much foreign aid assistance and so much in military equipment transfers to Arab states like Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the Palestinian Authority and Jordan if we shouldn't deal with Arabs? I think we have about a $30 billion or so investment in Arabs at the moment.
They've got the oil and the strategic locations. We need the oil and the strategic locations, hence...deals.

You mean to tell me that they want more? The goal of islam is to rule the world, the entire world. Always has been, always will be.

This is not the way to peace.
This is the way to showing Islamists that if you fly planes into buildings in the United States it only takes four years for Israel to turn over pieces of property.
I wonder if they're deciding what to destroy next in their hopes of gaining Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital?
If I were bin Laden, I would release a video claiming credit for this.

Jordan's King Abdullah reacted by urging Palestinians to pull together to prevent anyone from "hampering" Israel's withdrawal, an official statement quoted him as saying to Abbas.
The king also gave his "support to Palestinian Authority efforts to impose its authority on territory evacuated by Israel" calling the withdrawal "a positive step which must lead to a withdrawal from the West Bank". If the West Bank is part of some "Palestinian State" why didn't your father withdraw from it before he lost it to the IDF?
The fact is that from the post WW-I era, the West bank was to have been Jewish territory. It was taken from the newly declared state of Israel by the Jordanian Arab Legion, which along with the other Arab states in the region, attacked the newly born country of Israel on the date of it's birth.

Is there anyone who doesn't believe that in less than five years Gaza will be generally acknowldeged as the major staging area for terrorist attacks against Israel?

It's the year 2046, and arab leaders are calling for the US to "evacuate" Paterson, New Jersey. After all, they celebrated gleefully by dancing in the streets before noon on 9/11/01

Good thing that the UN Zionism condemnation of Israel resolution is no longer in place. Thanks John and although the political party that we support tried to stop you from even being at the UN (still claim credit for limiting your effectiveness) American Jewery expect you to win their fight (but don't expect our votes).

Blow up a few folks and terrorize their land for some years and you'll be rewarded with land, houses already to move in, along with oodles of orchards and farmed land ready to be the harvested ...INSANE ain't it! The freakin terrorist THUGS won and won big! Sharon is an idiot who betrayed his country men, women and children! I see the Palestine's are already marching in celebration of a victory and burning the Israeli flag along with chants of kicking the Jewish folk into the death sea next and capturing Jerusalem....INSANE decision by Israel govt. officials...freakin insane!!

YEP. Just like Adolph told Chamberlain,"Give me the Sudetenland, and I will be satisfied". At least old Adolph *pretended* that he would be satisfied. These Islamanazies only say "We'll kill you if you don't give us what we want now. Then we'll talk about what else we want.". They don't even bother lying about their next step. The only thing they lie about, when speaking for the public record and not in Arabic, is their final "demand", which is for the State of Israel to cease to exist.

"For their part, the two Lebanese Shiite groups Amal and Hezbollah issued a joint statement saying 'the routing of the Israeli enemy of Gaza is a high point in the long struggle of the Palestinian resistance.'
They said the withdrawal 'proves the effectiveness of resistance.'
And they are right on both counts.
Israel is committing suicide before our eyes.

Is there anyone who doesn't believe that in less than five years Gaza will be generally acknowldeged as the major staging area for terrorist attacks against Israel? I fear that it's inevitable that there's eventually going to be another Arab/Israeli war, only next time there's probably going to be nukes involved, and who knows how many people will be killed when it's all said and done.
There's never going to be peace there until one side or the other is wiped out.

Gaza is now a nice, well-defined, isolated enemy state.
Israel can destroy it utterly if it becomes necessary.

What has happened with the wall the Israelis have been building? I suspect that after this retreat. They will consolidate their defensible positions behind the wall and declare all of Jersulsem under Israeli control. The few settlements on the frontier (Gaza Strip) were consuming a huge amount of resources to defend the settlers. The "religion of peace" crowd think they have a victory , but it will be a piric victory. Israel will declare all discussion of peace with Palestinians over (go live in Gaza). The final borders will be established by the wall.
