This exploit is only for Windows 2k. For whatever reason a registry key was set the wrong way by default only in Windows 2k, allowing this to happen. So far so good on my network. I started blocking the port this thing uses to spread itself last night when I first started hearing about this.

This exploit is only for Windows 2k.FWIW, Symantec says all Windows from 98 forward.

How do you block this port? A place where I work has done so, can I protect my house's LAN? How does this worm spread?
Although I may be ok, since I'm STILL running Windows 98. Instead of upgrading my OS I bought a Mac. No regrets whatsoever.
