Opponents who ignore evidence of humans contributing to climate change, Clinton said,

Hey Ratso Rizzo...which is it ? are we causing it or are we contributing to it ?

Man the hot air coming out of those people would certainally melt the polar ice caps. Which, when you think about it is quite amazing since Her Royal Heiness is an ice cold #!tch.

Come to think of it; man is the cause of global warming. The hot air in Washington is the cause. I say we limit such spewing of green house gasses by restriciting Congressional sessions to two - three weeks tops, per year.

Beat me to it.

John, just go there for Christmas vacation in shorts and a T shirt.
Report back to us afterwards.

I saw an article about McCain, Hillary, Graham and Collins or Snowe going to Alaska for this reason..

Here's hoping that they selected the same tour package as Hale Boggs.

"McCain, accompanied by Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C"

HRC:"You just keep saying something no matter how untrue and unfactual it might be, over and over and over again, and try to drive the politics to meet your ideological or commercial agenda," she said. "That is a grave disservice to our country."

Oh the irony there, Hilary.

McCain said anecdotes from Alaskans and residents of the Yukon Territory confirm scientific evidence of global warming.

Yup and every year here in upstate NY someone says it is the hottest summer ever, driest summer ever, wettest summer ever, coldest winter ever,snowiest....

You can`t go wrong with anecdotal tales from locals.

I have high hopes that global warming will raise the ocean levels and submerge New York, Boston and San Francisco--though not necessarily in that order.

Ya know...I'm all for reducing emissions for several reasons, but Kyoto was $#!*. It did nothing to reduce emissions on a global level. I do think I'm preaching to the choir here though.

What is funny, is, I listen to Laura Ingraham's show...

and she was talking about this trip planned by McCain & Co., and commented that SHE had a trip planned for Alaska on the same days....

It is amazing how she admits her strategy.

"I don't think there is any doubt left for anyone who actually looks at the science," Clinton said. "There are still some holdouts, but they are fighting a losing battle. The science is overwhelming, but what is deeply concerning is that climate change is accelerating."

The smartest woman in the world is now a Nobel Prize candidate?
This meaningless paragraph reminds me of a very useful anecdote:

"Reminds me of a fascinating quote from a Chinese Com government during the "International Woman's Conference" held in China during the Clinton administration.
The government official said that they studied Hillary's speechmaking method to understand her power and success.
They concluded: her trick was never actually to make any arguments -- just state conclusions that were all already accepted as self-evident by her audience.

(They found that interesting and perhaps admirable, and to be emulated)."

You will notice that all these senatorial and congressional opportunists that take these pleasure junkets at taxpayer expense to "investigate" things are never trained in the field of that which they are "investigating". Not a scientist or even a rationalist in this bunch.

These morons wouldn't understand what they were looking at... And even if there WAS actual evidence of what they were seeking to find, they wouldn't have the mental acumen to actually understand it.

Of course most of the so-called climate scientists we hear about these days only seek data which confirms their pre-conceived agenda. When they do discover an area that is hotter than it was six months ago, they say "See, there IS global warming", and purposely ignore the other side of the world where it is colder than it was six months ago. So, I guess we can't expect these political prostitutes to do any better. *sigh*.

When was the last time we had a Senator that was trained at and at one time made a living as an actual scientist or one that was an engineer? The last one I can think of was Senator Harrison Schmitt from NM... And he only lasted one term.

I guess that at one time Frist was pretty good at medicine, but he has pretty much turned into a political prostitute too.

I find it absurd that these people who make laws and political proclamations on such things not only have no firsthand knowledge in the the various disciplines, in most cases they are not smart enough to understand what a real scientist would tell them.

People who think that humans are the cause of global warming should set the example by killing themselves and eliminating their influence on the environment.
