Seems one should prepare according to their own specific needs, location. Here's some info, left over from the Y2K 'scare' and survivalists

Thanks for posting that info!
How heavy would you think that be? 500 rounds isn't light.
Where the heck am I supposed to keep all that stuff? It won't even fit in my car when/if we have to run.
Thank you, though! I'm going to print it off.
Some things that are important and should be added to that list:
1. Compact, lightweight handheld CB radio capable of operation on Channel 9 and Channel 19 (and batteries).
2. Compact, lightweight handheld FRS/GMRS radio plus batteries.
3. Crank/solar combo powered AM/FM radio (shortwave optional).
It's clear to me that communications are almost as important as food.
I may just not be seeing it, but a radio is ESSENTIAL!
I've copied your list to my e-mail and printed it out. Thank you. I see a lot of people don't have a gun on their lists and am glad it's on yours. It's about the only thing we've prepared for, some time ago.
Yes, very good, just that the order is incorrect: "towels" should head the list (as survival is possible without the other items provided one doesn't panic).
thank you - I have printed out the list.
