As I posted earlier, there is one difference. In an earthquake, everyone is still there. In NO the only people left are poor, infirmed or criminal. Not a great mix. When the "Big One" hits LA, even in poor neighborhoods there will be church leaders, business leaders, home owners, etc. I don't think they'll let things get too out of control. Those people left NO Saturday and Sunday.
