SIERRA VISTA - More than 40 soldiers from Fort Huachuca's 93rd Signal Brigade have deployed to an area north of New Orleans to provide communications support for areas crippled by Hurricane Katrina.
The soldiers, mainly assigned to the 67th Signal Battalion, left Wednesday and have set up operations about 100 miles north of New Orleans, at Camp Shelby, Miss.

That's the marshalling ground and training area for some of our our Stupendous Seabees. I think the Army Engineers would be wise to infuse a couple thousand of those guys into the New Orleans Gig!!

Too moony martinis! I just realized you're talkin' bout the "desert" signal corp....I was referring to that California-based Seabee Pacific Headquarters. Still think the Army Engineers could use some Navy "builders" vs. dropping sand on the breaches...let's have they hammer a few hundred feet of corrigated steel pilings for good measure!!
Well knowing these guys the Seabees and others will be able to at least get the word out on how their job('s) going and order/coordinate for need materials/support from HQ's.
