The louder they are the wronger they are.
I agree that the NOLA Mayor, Idi[ot] Nagin, deserves the blame for not using those buses, and that they were "forgotten".
OTOH. I do not agree that they were "ruined by the flood". They are diesels (with no ignition systems), and even today, many of them could be started and driven. (Remember: a teenager managed to find the keys and steal one -- and hauled a load of rescued folks all the way to Houston's Astrodome.)
IMHO, Nagin deserved to be thrown into the Superdome or the Convention Center -- when the mob was at the height of its aggravation.
This article is tommyrot!
A local talk show host, named Spencer Hughes, discussed the key events from this Hurricane and in turn supported President Bush. He was immediately greeted by a caller who called Hughes a racist, specifically said "this would not have happened to people with blond hair and blue eyes" and then, after a couple minutes, became rabid and lunatic by yelling "you should be shot in the head" before Hughes terminated the call.
So, the U.S. Navy is lilly-white?
This is just racist garbage.
The real question is, "Why was anybody still in New Orleans?"
Hurricane planning for a Category 4 storm called for complete evacuation of the city:
Hurricane Pam Exercise Concludes.(2004 New Orleans Disaster Prediction)
The answer is that the Democrat Mayor and the Democrat Governor were too egotistical to allow the Federal Government to take over the evacuation and too incompetent to carry it out themselves.
As a result, 200,000 low-income New Orleans residents were trapped like drowning rats in a "flood bowl" (as scientists called it) that they were never suppossed to be in while hundreds of city buses sat parked and and unused less than 1.5 miles from the Superdome.
This is another example of the liberal news media putting out the Big Lie.
jimmy breslin is still alive what a buffoon
Probably they can be run, if they were taken and flushed NOW.
But since they will sit in a tidal zone in salt water (up and down, drying and soaking) for a month or more, I'd say they will be ruined.
We've posted those photos on FreeRepublic so often that we have every bus in the photos memorized by now.
In the mean time, the liberal news media's reaction to these facts is:
Why didn't the Mayor deploy these buses?
Savage (for once) had it right: Liberalism IS a Mental Disorder.
Not from the liberal MSM it won't.
They know the facts and they refuse to report them.
Apparently, New Orleans was like Haiti even before the storm more than we all knew. How was this hidden for so long? As for racism, what could be more embarrassing for any race than to be represented by such vermin looting, raping, killing, etc. in a time of tragedy. Hey Jesse, look at the video tapes of your people in action. How can you blame Bush for that? Perhaps you should look in the mirror or to the Liberals for an answer.

Be sure to see the madness.
Can't this bitter old drunken fart just do the decent thing and die of liver failure already?
Then they will scream RACISM even more. You can't blame black leaders for anything.
IT'S ALWAYS (always has been, always will be) WHITIES FAULT.
Jimmy Breslin has been mentally ill for quite some time. Who the hell let him out?
NO is the perfect example of the failure of liberalism and socialism....the media will do their best to transfer this over to conservatives.
Personally, I think it will backfire.
This is just more liberal projection. Ever notice how liberals obsessed with race never have friends outside of their own race? Notice how many of them, if they have an interaction with someone of another race, make sure to inform everyone around them so that they can be acclaimed for their enlightened non-racism?
The liberal establishment and its MSM propaganda wing remain engaged in a real feeding frenzy of gutter politics, spreading hysteria and paranoia. They smell blood and they realize this is an a perfect opportunity to get the President.
"Newsday is only useful for housebreaking pets... "
I have more respect for my dog than to subject him to such a degrading act.
