Be sure and read some of the commentaries, especially by the owner/ editor, Elaine Kolodziej. Elaine is the only one who prints my letters to the editor (and I don't even LIVE in Wilson County, but in Atascosa County here in Texas), informed me about Capt Gary Bourland USMC, who had e-mailed her with his concern about America forgetting about the war we are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, and that is what galvanized me to make the trip to Crawford, Texas on August 27, 2005 to support our President and our troops. Not only that, she had someone interview my husband and me for the trip, posted that interview online AND in the regular copy of the Wilson County News dated August 31, 2005, she gave me a wonderful suprise....the article and photos I took up there covered most of the front page, with 3 color photos and the interview boxed and highlighted in yellow, and continued on to page 6 with 2 black and white photos and the continuation of the article. So God Bless this woman who is so much support to our fighting forces!
I just got caught up reading this thread and I just have to pop in and say to you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you! From the bottom of this military mom's heart, I thank you for being such good, honest, and intelligent people. To all of you who have been in Iraq and have loved ones serving in Iraq, and elsewhere, both military AND our brave contractors, you have my deepest gratitude and respect!
I posted this to "All" because I haven't kept a list of you all. But you know who you are. :)
To those who just don't "get it", or can't "get it", or don't want to "get it".....suffice to say, you are part of the problem, you will always be part of the problem, and you will NEVER be the solution.
