How did he get banned...I got some whacked comment from him last week...unsolicited!
To: BurbankKarl
"How did he get banned"I would guess, and it's only a guess, that it's a suspension rather than a ban. It is rare for a quisling to get the chair.
As for how or why, mercifully I have no idea. It's all good though.

.....Los Angeles is a ghost town these days To believe that I'll first have to check out some Home Depot parking lots, some K-Marts...and the welfare offices.

It's amazing how the leftist have convinced so many Americans that we are so weak, and helpless, we can't even rebuild after a disaster. And Clemenza insists that the evacuees are "unhirable". That, to me, smacks of the racist assumption that this largely black/government dependent group are unable to relearn skills their forebears picked up quickly. I believe they can do what's needed after knowledgeable guidance and have as much will as any other Americans struck with disaster. I can not assume that any segment of our population are too corrupted by the Demorat-encouraged welfare queen culture as to lose all means to help themselves without government assistance.

Unfortunatly, we have too many folks (such as those in New Orleans) who are UNEMPLOYABLE!Just another excuse to allow more illegals. Who says they are unemployable? You?
Remember the proverb about teaching a man to fish? Apparently you would prefer it the way it is instead of being willing to teach them to learn how to work. Sad. Now who's the liberal?

And Clemenza insists that the evacuees are "unhirable".I totally agree with your post. Claiming that mexicans are better "Americans" then those poor people smacks of racism at worst liberalism at best. It is pretty evident now where their minds are.

You expect folks that have been on welfare for three generations to be readily employable? Have you ever lived near or among the urban underclass. Have you ever spent time in a housing project?
The folks in New Orleans were NOT "the werkin' poor" but instead helpless people who are victims of both the Great Society and their own shiftlessness. The truth hurts, but its still the truth.

As an employer, I want someone who shows up on time, does their job, and doesn't give me any attitude. Go back to my posts and you will see that I am for DEPORTING illegals, and ONLY THEN, having a guest worker program.
As far as our native born underclass is concerned, you could put a gun up to them and they would still not change their ways.

So once their ruined they're ruined for life? I'm probably stupid for believing that most human beings will adapt to circumstances thrust upon them. That includes losing their former way of life and being required to work for their living.
I am against the seeming rush to provide freebies to all the displaced at everyone else's expense. Because so many have been spoiled in the past the "teach them to fish" metaphor would be the way to go.
Sorry - I thought I included you in the posting when I referred to you above. I'll try not to be so shiftless in the future.

Draft the "refugees." Their $2000 debit cards ought to run out soon... and its their city.

Nah. If Juan wasn't drinking and driving, they'd likely be alive. It's the driver's fault, but the fact that he was illegal is irrelevant.

Tell that to this family. Illegals are being welcomed with open arms in Arkansas, thanks to our Gov.
He should have been drunk and uninsured in Mexico..NOT Arkansas. But he's been deported before, and back again.
He'll get his wish, he can spend the rest of his life in Arkansas...in prison.

Lets not pile on Clemenza--he's with us, not with the quislings. Besides, his point is not without some merit.
I, too, believe it is possible to motivate and employ a significant segment of the so-called unemployable of New Orleans. Not all of them, but many of them. I cannot believe they are all hopeless--some, perhaps many, will respond if a genuine work opportunity is presented properly.
Having said that, yes, it is true that there will still be many left which, for various reasons, simply will not or cannot respond and are in fact unemployable. But what the hell, if you can significantly reduce this number by putting everyone else into a job who wants to work, then that's a far better plan than simply declaring everyone hopeless and unemployable.
In other words, both points of view are, to some extent, valid.
