Heh heh. Try to be nice but nooo...

I usually agree with the guy but was offended that he automatically dismissed the New Orleaners as worthless while trumpeting the promptness and work ethic of the illegals. What he didn't mention was how it's desperation and lack of options that makes them so - not any innate quality they somehow genetically possess. In Mexico itself employers prefer hiring Hondurans and Guatemalans, citing that they're willing to do the work native Mexicans are too lazy to do.

There, as here, employers attempt to use that tired argument to deflect that the desperate are not truly superior laborers, just easier to advantage of by paying less than fair wages. Just another example of the culture of corruption the illegals' presence fosters - a social cancer run amok that challenges the morals of the best of us (because it's so much easier to go along with the flow).

Now the former population of New Orleans is at rock bottom, just as desperate as the illegals who have no interests here above how much money they can make and send home. The Feds are absolutely wrong to promote using them over citizens who should be rebuilding their city (while learning and earning a real sense of pride in accomplishment). That these government agencies (and the guy in ultimate charge of them) are openly advocating illegality is absolutely sickening!

Damn straight. How many times must I state that illegals should be deported YESTERDAY!

Okay. I "hear" you. It's just that when you say any American is umemployable it sounds as though you would give up on them preferring to hire illegals/immigrants. While I agree that they are certainly used to being on the dole, I still think that they can be reformed. Remember welfare reform under Gingrich? It worked to a great extent. We need to keep up that kind of pressure to get people off of welfare.
