Another good question. "If we could clone toads, would congress have the right under the commerce clause to ban cloning?"

Roberts: Yes.

My thought: If we could clone endangered species, that would really solve a lot of the problems with the endangered species act.

Then cloning it should certainly be against the law.

I wish a Senator, any Senator, would read an amendment to the Constitution, like the 2nd Amendment, and then ask Roberts to explain what it means.

Roberts is obviously intelligent but I don't feel like I know anything about his judicial philosophy.

He's used 'illegal amigos' almost as much as "I" lest anyone who didn't hear it the first 1000 times, both during the hearings and when he appeared on talk shows, didn't miss it.

Sleepless night pondering his vote is pure BS. He will not vote for him on the basis that Robets was simply not forthcoming to suit him. What a waste of time!

Judge Roberts, the Administration hurt you by not releasing the documents that we wanted. Also, you did not answer enough questions on actual cases. What Chuck is saying is that we need to know how you are going to rule on things that matter to us. What I am hearing is that there is no conservative jurist who will ever get our vote. We had better keep the majority in all areas, because they will trample us into the dirt at the first opportunity.
