It was full panicville, When Lou Dobbs finally went on air, he was greatly urinated his program had been delayed.
I felt so sorry for CNN's predicament. S\
The place has been run by Democrats since the Civil War.
Found this during my search for info on Louisiana history. "The Reconstruction period witnessed serious race riots in New Orleans,And the terrorization of Negroes and Republicans throughout the state." Source:The American Peoples Encyclopedia Copyright 1960
I'll take that anyday. The Slimes is setting itself up for more failure.
Sorry, can't read the NYT pukes anymore. Got no stomach for them.
But I still notice the titles these punks use in their paper, and it still annoys me. They only use the pandering "Mr. Bush" style of headline-writing and editorializing in order to delude themselves that readers still buy their snotty, highbrow image. These scumbags want desperately to fake like they have respect for President Bush and that they are (therefore) being objective in their constant smearing of the man. Well, nobody's buying.

Where's the outrage? Right here, in my letter to the editor...published yesterday. I have just so had it with the race issue, when they're calling Bush/Republicans racist, they're calling me racist. And let me tell you, it makes me more than a little angry, being a white Republican and having spent the last 16 years living in a VERY racist south, working to end it... wondering when the KKK would come a knockin'. RATS have stepped on my toes for the last time.
The title the newspaper assigned to my letter wasn't necessarily doing me any favors. To the contrary, they're certainly helping to promote pissing off more RATS...
(and by the way, I used "Mr. Bush" on purpose.)
"Democratic criticism shows party's reality"
Wednesday, September 14, 2005
The feds are forbidden by law to come into an area unless requested by the governor. FEMA is not a first responder. Mr. Bush called the Democratic governor and the mayor and begged them to evacuate on the Friday before the storm hit.
The National Guard is controlled by the governor. The New Orleans disaster plan was not implemented. Pictures of buses which could have evacuated Louisiana citizens are all over the Internet.
The Red Cross and Salvation Army were denied entry into New Orleans. Florida, Mississippi and Alabama Republican leaders asked for aid.
To avoid the debate, Democrats throw racial accusations. Not one Republican senator was the grand poobah of the KKK as was Sen. Byrd. The Democratic 1952 vice presidential nominee was a segregationist, the Democratic majority leader in the Senate for 10 years was a Klansman and Sen. Leahy has said that President Bush is purposely killing blacks.
The Republican Party was on the right side of the Civil War, passed the Voter Rights Act and voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Eisenhower sent troops to protect nine students and federalized the Arkansas National Guard when a governor refused to ensure integration.
Reagan got the MLK holiday and extended the Voting Rights Act for 25 years, and Bush appointed more blacks to high-level positions in his cabinet than any previous president, including the first black woman as secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice.
Still, somehow, Republicans and Bush are racist. Anyone who remembers relief efforts during Floyd in (my area) knows better.
I, for one, will not be lectured to by liars, a former klansman on race, a party that had a segregationist as its vice presidential nominee in 1952, a party that refused to protect nine children or by those who gave me what I just saw on TV last week.
I believe the media chose to show the worst of the worst as far as people, conditions and attitudes. Some viewers were shocked and saddened others .......
Great letter!
If Katrina would've hapened under Gore, the MSM would have spinned it as an extremely rapid response.
LOL!
There is nothing wrong with that usage at all. You can say the president, president Bush, or Mr. Bush. They are all proper. However, if you are speaking to the president it is proper to refer to him as Mr. President.
Shoot, I didn't clarify that this went to my local RAT paper, not the NYT. If anyone wants to use it, feel free. (I got inspiration from Rush and another FReeper.)
"The place has been run by Democrats since the Civil War."
Well then...there you go. But somehow its Bush's fault. Give me a break.
Unless my memory fails me, wasn't Carter and Clinton president at one time or another? Did the numbers of poor in New Orleans decrease during this period?
Very succinct. I like the bullets. Its like someone slapping ten bumpers stickers in your face.
Well, thank you very much. But that probably means I'm in deep doo heah in the deep south LOL, there are more than a few RATS around who might consider I've done just that, then, eh? Think I'll call the hardware store and see how rock salt sales are going. LOL.
1. He could have fought for FEMA's independent status, instead of rolling over to the demand it be moved to DHS. (For that matter, he could have stuck to his guns and refused to create DHS to begin with.)
2. He could have put an experienced emergency manager at the head of FEMA, instead of a patronage appointment. IMO, given our recent history, this may be his biggest blunder, and fortunately, it's already been fixed.
3. He could have returned to DC instead of giving a speech in California. I know this is mostly symbolic, but symbolism is a big part of POTUS's job description, and Bush is usually more astute than this.
