Not a new phrase. Ted Williams, the legal commentator on Fox (usually Greta's show), has been saying it for years. (He also always wants to "axe" a question.) I think Nagin said it after the floods, too.

Thanks for the ping retro. I love Honore. It has been noted that this expression has been used by others fairly recently. I say the difference is that nobody else has said it to/about the media to their faces! Wonderful. What makes it even better is that Honore had explained things very carefully and the reporter still asked the stupid question!

He's been using it from almost the moment he arrived in NOLA. I'm not tired of it yet, because he has been using it effectively. He focus's like a lazer beam.
