I am glad you are prepared....
I was just thinking that it is about time for Shephard Smith to come on TV and say "Whew, Rita is down to a cat. 3, we dodged another bullet!"
LOL---seriesly, though, I wondered when I saw that it had gone down to a Cat 3, if this is going to turn out to be "much ado about nothing"....but how is one to know??
Also, Janice Dean just said that the hurricane has slowed down, and the eye isn't as distinct...BUT, it could revamp up by it hits tomorrow...
What do ya'll think?
You mean that stupid reporter's name is actually Bastardi? Just take off the i and there you have it!
Maybe there's something wrong with my thinking. (And I'm sure some freeper will come right along to tell me).
But it seems to me that New Orleans can't suffer much more water damage than it's already suffered. And there's basically no one there so loss of life isn't a concern.
Frankly, all this coverage of watching New Orleans flood again is making me, and I'm sure lot of other people, even more convinced that the rebuilding of New Orleans cannot happen in anything close to the same way it was before.
BTW--hurts that NO is getting re-flooded, but on the bright side, maybe it will destroy all that loot those corrupt cops stole!
Saw a few of them here the other day. Didn't realize it was that time of the year again. Fortunately, we don't have too many of them on the coast. Five miles inland is a whole different story. They can do a job on car paint.
We have a similar name for them...'Little F^@#er Bugs'
They make quite a satisfying crunch when you step on them...
You are not the only one.
Sending prayers...
I hope you all stay safe and that those poor people stuck on the roads find somewhere safer and better to take shelter than their cars!
Your right. Days ago Dr. Frank talked of the wobbling the hurricane might do to the east, and he knows it could wobble back.
Don't think there's anything wrong with that. There's about nobody there, it's already been destroyed, and there's very little more that Rita could do to the place.
Well- we know they aren't real keen on any good news--especially Good News!
Yesterday, at lunch, I told a colleague that my "internal personal computer modeling" had Rita striking land just a bit to the East of the TX/LA border. If this continues, he's going to be afraid of me - believing that I'm psychic...
The front of your car is the only "natural" enemy the love bug has.
Especially bad for oil/gas?
Houston likely more at risk?
Thanks for the report. Im praying everyone will stay calm and patient.
Last week I read on FR that in Iraq gas costs five (5) cents per gallon.
What's even worse is how they root for high death counts both in Iraq and in the hurricanes. They are truly despicable people. If the media wants a high death count maybe these could find a hotel near the beach where the next Cat 4-5 hurricane will make landfall.
If this turns out to be true as well, you just may be!
She went down as fast as she went up....
I'll pitch a tent for them. :)
