The majority of soldiers and Marines killed or wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan were young, white, enlisted personnel from active-duty units, according to a study released Friday by the federal Government Accountability Office.
The demographic study involved 1,841 service personnel who were killed and 12,658 who were wounded, as of May 28.

The Army does have a higher proportion of minorites than the general population, but they tend to enter support units instead of infantry. I don't know why, but it is documented. I've no clue on the other branches of the Armed Forces.

When I enlisted in the Air Force, I was told don't do it only for God and country. I thought that was an odd statement. I wonder how many recruiters in black nabes have that attitude? Or presume that black recruits are enlisting for the 'jobs'?
They are all American patriots to me.

Now perhaps they can start a race war by saying hispanics are _______(fill in the blanks) because more of them are lost than blacks who lose fewer of the larger percentage.
So more whites are sacrificed to the gods of war on behalf of this Nation.
It's sad that some people see only what they want to see no matter what the facts may honestly reveal.

My take on the difference in numbers is that the difference is probably not statistically significant. Injuries to whites, blacks, & hispanic seemed to be at roughly their representation in the entire force.

And they are deadset on that goal at all times.
So, charge the military with hate crimes against minorities, cause you know hate crimes against whites just don't happen (sarcasm off)
Yep! Just look at how much better the black service people did compared to thier other counterparts. Kinda makes you proud and less guilty for all the shame of our forefathers.
