Thank you so much, Beth! As for me, yes I am going through a bad bit right now in addition to being concerned about my brother and his children. Your prayers are VERY much appreciated!

Is it possible that the woman is manic/depressive? I have seen this first hand and some of the behavior is similar.

Prayers for these poor children. I pray for God to touch the heart of the judge and he will make the right decision.

Angela has lots of problems, not the least of which is drug abuse. After she ran away with the children, Eric found a number of empty prescription bottles for narcotics (some with other names listed on the labels) stashed away in various places around their house. Gotta get her in for a psych eval!

Thank you, my dear friend...and continuing in prayer for your own problems!

Just keep letting her hang herself (she will), be patient, polite, follow the rules and be concerned for "the best interest of the children."

Thank you both for your prayers! Yes, Toespi, Angela is not doing herself any favors. The judge they are meeting with tomorrow already doesn't like her, and I'm afraid her actions will only throw more gasoline on the fire.

I must be away from the computer for a bit, but I will be back later. My deepest and most profound thanks to all of my brothers and sisters for your prayers!
To: Aracelis
Remember this, the judge may not like her and is aware of situations. However, they almost always follow the recommendations and testimonies of the professionals involved such as doctors, psychs, guardian ad litems, teachers, children's services, etc. These people are his ears and eyes and a judge will rarely trump their opinion.

Looking forward to GOOD NEWS tomorrow. My son's next date in court is 12/14, but he thinks that is financial. The actual trial which will cover custody is still set for 12/23. The good news with us is that he has been able to see Alyssa twice a week, and talk to her nightly. Her Mom was trying to keep her away, saying she was ill, but the mediator gave her a warning and she's been letting Alyssa come to visit with her Dad. I got a call from her this morning when my son was with her, and it was our first talk in 6 months. It was so good to talk to her, and have her tell me she misses her Grandpa and I, and is looking forward to meeting her new (7 month old) cousin soon. We sent pictures of the baby, and she was thrilled. She still cannot be with my son without Protective Services, but he has been told that will end soon. Unfortunately she and her Mom live about 3 hours away, so my son spends a lot of time in the car. I pray for a time we can have her down with us for a few days. But, there is progress.
