This is a legitimate situation where the Senate should exercise their "advise and consent" role and reject the nominee. She is unqualified to be a justice on the SCOTUS, plain and simple, regardless of ideology. Bush could have made a long list of highly qualified individuals and forced the Dems to fillibuster all of them till they got exhausted. But no, he is taking the easy way out, IMHO.

You assume it's not what's intended...

Any "benefit of the doubt" that President Bush is owed has been used up long since.

Either this crap stops or Republicans, in general, pay the tab for what he's doing in the next election.
