Fox News TV ^ | October 4, 2005 | Vanity

Posted on 10/04/2005 7:16:56 PM PDT by buzzyboop

Ok, never posted vanity thread, but Rush is on Greta now. He is summarizing the arguments he made on his show regarding Harriet Miers.

Also, his Slickness is also on Greta's show tonight. Rush is the bigger coup, though. Wasn't the last TV interview he did with Letterman??

Rush's command of facts and his demeanor puts everyone else on TV and radio to shame. He is still the MAN!

He is absolutely right that the Republicans will pay for this ill advised move by the President in 2006.

Maybe... but GWB will most likely get two more nominees before the clock runs out.

Very astute of Greta and her handlers. They knew damn well her program would have had a ratings tank if Bill Clinton would have been her main guest. Too bad Rush accepted to come on tonight.... Rush rescued the On The Record ratings, I guarantee.

Maybe. A big maybe. I like Bush, though. As much as I am concerned, I really don't want to say anything that I might regret later. Will be watching the confirmation hearings like a hawk, though.

You gotta admit, when Harry Reid likes the nominee, it gives you the creeps!

I prefer 'aunt harriet' from batman fame for the nickname.

Ozzie and harriet were married with children. IIRC aunt harriet was kind of like aunt bea - never married with no kids.

Rush did an excellent job. If you heard his show today, he basically repeated it all in a condensed version. Greta barely got in a word edgewise. Why did she have to ask him who would be on the 2008 GOP ticket? Like he's going to answer that.

Summary of Rush's comments:

Miers was a bad pick. Should have picked a hard-rock, proven conservative. Would have been better to have had the "fight" with the dems so they could be exposed to the American people for what they really believe. Need more than just a "vote" on the SC, need a true conservative who will change the culture on the SC. There's a reason the dems are happy with this pick. This could come back to haunt us in 2006.

She was reading the script. I don't think Greta takes Limbaugh seriously.

I'll see if I can summarize:

1)The Meir's pick is a lost opportunity, but that's not to say there won't be other opportunities and she may very well turn out to be a good pick.

2)Many people have worked hard for many years to get the Dems out of the house, senate and win the Presidency and they had accomplished that. The last bastion of liberalism was the Supreme court. It's a 'liberal culture' that Bush had the opportunity to break and he may have thrown that opportunity away.

3)He should have nominated someone like Janice Rogers Brown and let the Kennedy's, Schumer's and the like throw a hissy fit in front of the nation thus educating the voters on was the Democrat party really stands for.

I admit that, big time! Harry Reid is a gullible idiot, but on the other hand GHWB let us down in this department in the past.
