Do you or does anyone know if the bomb had shrapnel or nails ect in it? That would confirm 100% that he wanted to take others with him. It is 99% confirmed already, but that would cinch it.

I think you misspoke here:

The Oklahoma Daily is reporting that area Muslims did not see Hinrichs visiting a particular local mosque, as some earlier reported. However, news reports have Boren attending a mosque somewhere.

I think you meant Hinrichs.....

There have been reports of holes in a tree with metal looking stuff in them. The holes were supposedly the size of a 16 penny nail. (is that big?)

"a stadium guard Saturday night told him "a guy had springed off" outside Gate 6 after refusing to let his backpack be searched."

I guess he meant "sprinted off?"

This stadium guard would seem to need some serious retraining, as to just what the purpose of his job might be, don't you think? Did he bother to report this? Was anyone made aware, outside of his gossiping after the fact?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like nothing new here except the pitch for visiting your blog.

Backhoe already started the same thing yesterday.

"and we have learned his Muslim roommate and associates."

N'uff said. There are always these scumbag wierdos hovering around these mindless acts of violence.

"it looks like nothing new here except the pitch for visiting your blog."

Even though FR is not a "blog," bloggers themselves seem to think FR is a blog, and hyperlinking blog to blog is just the way things work for them.

It does look a little self-promoting here, even though it's entirely normal for them in their sphere.

While I don't care for the blog pimping, I like this format much better than Backhoe's. I can read this more clearly, andanything red is a link to the source.

Doesn't matter to me either way. Repetition does unnecessarily use bandwidth.

I'll go where the thread is over 1,110 posts and has people who were there at the stadium.

But that's just me.

Yes, indeed! Almost twice the size of an 8 penny nail.

(Actually, about 4 1/2 " in length.)

"College kids dont want their backpacks searched..."

When they find out what a bullet they dodged, I'd imagine they will find a way to adapt. Maybe they could get their drunk on at a tailgate party before the game or something.

I don't like taking my shoes off in the airport, either, but it's the price I pay to fly these days.

That would be big. I am hardware illiterate. Upon completing the class, I immediately forgot everything from the mandatory 8th grade shop class.

Absolutely. However, I expect this sort of thing may happen quite often when college kids realize that they can't sneak their booze past the guards in their backpacks.. (although you'd think most would know better by now since searches are done at all major stadium events AFAIK).

I just called the ticket office in Lincoln to see if I can bring my camera/camera bag to the Husker game Saturday. There was no problem whatsoever with it as long as it wasn't video.

I bet I have to open my bag at the gate though...I hope I have to open my bag at least.

If they were made aware that they would be chased down, detained and questioned, I think they'd catch on pretty quickly.

That would be a major buzz-kill, lol.
