Congratulations to the AL champions, the Chicago White Sox.
But alas, even after this success the majority of the city of Chicago still want to embrace the Cubs.

The Sox didn't win. The umpires won it for them.
Okay, I know that's not true. Still, knowing that you guys got all 4 bad calls in the series go your way makes this Angel fan feel a little better.

My Mom was a diehard Colt 45/Astro's fan when she was alive. One of my most cherished possessions is a green spiral notebook. April 1965, Astros vs Mets, went 11 innings with the Mets winning 10-9. The game was the 3rd time in 'stro history Houston stole home plate. Paid attendance 7,227.
My Mom would buy spiral notebooks and draw the graph just like the one in the programs at the games. She'd keep score just as you were supposed to do in the programs. The last game in this green notebook was Houston vs Atlanta, June 18, 1967 and was the first no-hitter against the Braves since 1951. Paid attendance was 19,199 and total attendance was 22,173. Score 2-0.
I will have to root for the Astro's if...
And if they should go to the World Series there will be a small flower arrangement in the Astro's colors placed upon a grave somewhere in Dallas, Texas.
Because I promised many year ago after she died and the first time we ever made it to the playoffs.

Hey, we're celebrating out here in the western Chicago suburbs, too.
Tomorrow the world at Parky's Hot Dogs, maybe Brown's Chicken, or Villa Nova pizza, or how about some Portillo's Italian Beef?
This has gotta turn you on, Chef Carlo, LOL.

Congratulations to the White Sox! They are an amazing team this year and deserved to win the AL pennant. Four consecutive complete games (Buehrle, Garcia, Garland, Contreras) in the ALCS... wow.

On the bright side, any damage rioters do to the Southside of Chicago could only increase property values.

Congratulations to the Sox from a die-hard Angels fan.
In the World Series, one piece of advice -- tell Al Smith not to stand too close to the right field fence this time ;-)

The Angels just lost their heart after the Eddings incident, but the ChiSox got historically excellent pitching.
Still, I'm rooting for Roy Oswalt and the Astros.
