This storm is going to hit New Orleans again - there's no way it's going to make a sharp right turn. There is a cold front pushing westward through the middle of the US right now. The jetstream is flowing along that boundary.
As Wilma moves northward, it will encounter the jet, and turn sharply eastward and dramatically increase its forward motion.
