Investor's Business Daily ^ | 10/19/2005 | staff

Posted on 10/20/2005 11:50:32 AM PDT by Perdogg

As special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald's mandate expires, Karl Rove's only crime may be not that he "outed" Valerie Plame as a CIA operative but that he exposed her husband, Ambassador Joe Wilson, as a liar.

and as we all know, to Dems/Libs, lying isn't a crime unless it's a republican. "No one died when Rove didn't Lie"

It's impossible to "leak" common knowledge, the common knowledge being her desk job at CIA. Big _____ deal.

Great article. Clear and concise. It's nice to read something about this case that contains the facts instead of a reporter's unfounded rumors.

There is an attempt to use, or rather mis-use, the law to achieve what the Democrats could not accomplish at the polls, the nuetering of the Republican revolution.

Great post Perdogg, it is well worth clicking on the link to read the entire article!

I agree. This is certainly the most clear and understandable article I've read on this mess yet.

But the REAL question is, what does Robert Novak have against the Bush family?

Not as a CIA employee. So what does it matter that her name was in there?

He's not true blood conservative and Novak is sympathetic to the arab cause. Does his son kick for the redskins?

Lemme get this straight - you think a covert agent, who is posing as an energy analyst, should not have her name listed in some Who's Who book as an energy analyst? Perhaps you could explain why you think this somehow undermines the cover...

I bet she even attended conferences as an energy analyst. I guess you'll say that blew her cover, too.

BTW - those who have discussed her work with the Agency have uniformly described her as an excellent case officer. But I'm sure you know something they don't...

Oh really. That's a very profound statement. Who specifically has discussed her work with the Agency? How did you come across this information? Please site examples.

Well, Fred Rustmann, who was her supervisor early in her career, said that to the Washington Times. He says they misquoted him about some other things, but not about that. Larry Johnson, who I'm sure you've heard of, was a co-worker and had high praise for her work at the Agency. Cofer Black, who was a superior, has described her in several media appearances as an excellent case officer.

So, go ahead and say they don't know what they are talking about or whatever. I'm guessing you weren't working there, though.

"Larry Johnson, who I'm sure you've heard of, was a co-worker and had high praise for her work at the Agency."

LOL. Larry Johnson also said Plame (who is in her early forties) had been undercover for thirty years.

Are you part of her legal team? Why do you defend her and Joe so vehemently?
