withdraw and/or certainly not be confirmed..... good Lord, she hasn't said a thing YET and she's referred to as a "Cleaning Lady"? If that is not trashing a person, then I don't know what it would be called. It's revolting to listen to these talking heads on the cable news shows.
LET THE LADY SPEAK!!! Give her that much at the very least.
Seriously, what do you expect her to say? That she will not be a judicial activist? Do you think that applicants ever embellish and just say what their interviewer wants to hear during an interview?
She has no track record to indicate how good of a judge she will be and what she will base her decisions on. This is too important of a job to just wing it.
She has "spoken," in a sense. Have you read that material? If no, why not?

Enough about the cleaning lady comment already. My God, one comment from Ann Coulter turns into this huge effort by everyone opposed to Miers to make her out to be a blabbering fool. The thrust of the argument by most people against her is not that she is stupid, it's that she has no constitutional law experience and very few credentials as a anti-activist/constructionist jurist.
And, there is a difference between "trashing a person" and "destroying a human being". From what I gather, destruction of a human being might have something to do with dismemberment of limbs, not calling someone unfit for the Supreme Court.
