Klan To Rally In Support Of Gay Marriage Amendment
Houston 2 ^

Posted on 10/26/2005 5:51:18 AM PDT by Lunatic Fringe

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Ku Klux Klan plans to rally in Austin to support the gay marriage amendment set for the Nov. 8 ballot.

The rally planned on the steps of city hall the Saturday before the election will urge voters to favor proposition 2.

However, some who support proposition 2 don't welcome the KKK's assistance.

One such person is Pastor Ryan Rush of Bannockburn Baptist Church.

Rush said that a group that would come in that is characterized as hateful and bigoted is not welcome in this city. He said he doesn't want the Klan as a partner on any cause.

In a letter the Klan sent to the city, the group acknowledged that security will be an issue, noting the violence that erupted at a KKK rally and march to the capitol in Austin in 1983.

Hmph, isn't this lovely. Now, of course the media is gonna have a field day with this if the bill passes. They're already having the prelude to that field day by implicitly linking those who support Proposition 2 with racist skinhead scum. Thanks, big media.

Are you saying Byrd is conservative? Sorry, I can't connect the dots here and need more info!

Gramatically, the implication is that the Klan supports homosexual marriage.

If you did a lexis/nexis search the headline would register as hit for an article in SUPPORT of homosexual marriage.

too funny but a demonstration of media manipulating press for propaganda.

In october of 2004 you BARELY heard peep of Defense of Marriage Amendments. Even when they passed, the Propaganda Media marginally covered them.

This is the same as the MSM not wrting the word "GLSEN" or "GSA" when covering homosexual recruiting efforts in schools. They wish to manipulate Lexis/Nexis and automated news searching services.

I think a bunch of liberals (like Byrd) go out and put on sheets and endorse a conservative or a conservative position when they want to make a conserative look bad.

"But even the very worst elements of our society are not excluded from voicing their opinion."

You are 100% correct

Even Nazi's have the right to voice their opinions and I will defend to the death, their right to do so.

Did you forget the sarcasm tag?

Actually I meant the anti-gay marriage movement, which is very credible, and having a high-profile lunatic fringe group associated with it would destroy some of the credibility. Not sure exactly how to deploy the ol' sarcasm tag here.

The proof will be if they do their little protest in full sheet mode and there is no significant leftist counter-protest. Then we will know that it is a leftist set up.

Someone should check out the name and contact info. on the protest permit, to see if it is really who they say they are. It would make for a good Smoking Gun article if it turned out to belong to an Austin flamer instead. ;)

The point of the headline is to increase the tally of articles which give "hits" as articles in support of homosexual marraige.

Thuse anyone doing a nexis/lexis search will find overwhelming numbers of stories in "support" of homosexual marriage. IOW, even those who oppose homosexual marraige will be portrayed as supporting homosexual marriage.

Opposition is Support. Very orwellian.

How did you get this four day old story posted in the Breaking News sidebar ON TOP OF stories that were posted more recently?

Yeah, all five of them.

You know, the "Klan" will show up - and it will likely be just five rednecks from the Midwest. They'll be met by about a thousand angry college students. All these "Klan" jerks want is attention. We'd be best served by simply ignoring them.

Maybe the Klan has an alterior motive??

After all gay men and lesbians need help to have children. Encouraging them to be married, might slow the propogation of that kind down?????

I am amazed at how many gay people there are in this country.
