What do the Cards look like next year? Are they losing anybody to free agency?

No question, the ChiSox were head and shoulders the better team in this Series. If it had been the best of 15, I believe the Sox would've won another 4 to sweep.

Congratualations, and good night

So the Red and White Sox curses lasted several decades before ending. This should send a serious message to all Yankees and Mets fans that until she's out of office, their countdown clock to the end of the Hillary curse won't even start.

Every time I visit my Chicago area relatives (Sox fans all) during the summer, we go to see the Sox.

Last time I was there, I told them that next time I wanted to see the Cubs play and go to a game at Wrigley.

My stunned nephews stared at me, until one broke the silence by saying, "I thought you liked to watch baseball."

I don't see very many Stros games during the year, living here in Connecticut, but I've been very impressed with what I've seen so far. I really like Brandon Backe... he's not only a very good pitcher, but he's got a lot of spunk. So cool to see him in the dugout clapping and joining in with the crowd's cheers. That's not something I've seen very often in MLB dugouts.

We'll see the Stros next post-season, for sure... ;-)

Without a doubt, the White Sox were the best team in baseball. They just steamrolled over everyone this postseason. 11-1 with 8 straight wins to close it out? That speaks for itself.

Congrats on your team's win!

Congrats to the Sox and their fans. As an Indians fan, it's good to see a team from our division win it. Maybe it'll be our turn next year.

They have a number of potential free agents. Larry Walker is retiring, the free agents are Matt Morris, Mark Grudzielanick, Reggie Sanders, Abraham Nunez and Julian Tavarez.

Backe lets em down again

If you had watched the game, you wouldn't have made such an idiotic statement. Backe held the Astros scoreless and pitched the game of his life tonight.

Yeah, and he pulled Backe with 2 outs to pinch hit Bagwell in the hope that Bagwell would pull a homer (or even a hit) out of his a$$. That's OK. He had the least effective reliever of the series in Lidge ready to go out and lose another one (which Lidge did brilliantly).

If Garner was gonna pinch-hit someone, he should have pinch-hit Everett...for the entire series.
