Today I silently applauded Israel's call for Iran to be kicked out of the U.N. Iran is a totally corrupt terrorist state bent on causing the next World War. (Read more reports?) Iran and Syria deserve all the grief they are getting on the world stage today.

To Israel: Take them out; there won't be an Iran to be in the UN.

Ah, so Israel is taking it to 'em on the political front as well as the military front? Go Israelis!

Unfortunately Iran won't get kicked out of the UN. You were correct ex-Texan, in saying that :

"Iran is a totally corrupt terrorist state bent on causing the next world war"

But the problem is, if you will allow my paraphrasing and altering your insightful state, that the UN is a unimaginably corrupt terrorist-protecting institution bent on doing everything they can to bring ignore the (real) possibility of a Third World War. The President and country of Iran-amuck are going to get a slap on the wrist, if that, and nothing more

I kinda thought it was interesting that the Israelies are buying into the whole "Iraq as wrong target in WOT" line. Guess the media there isn't so different from ours after all---wait, it IS slightly more conservative.

Remember the Israeli raid on the Iraqi nuclear reactor? Well, us goin' into Iraq helped ensure that Saddam InsaneHussein-thePain didn't get another of those things. Ah well.

Well at least Russia has condemned Iran's statement.

...a call by Iran's president for the Jewish state to be wiped off the map.

Such statements should be taken quite seriously indeed. It is an act of war to make such a statement in my book.

Seems like Iran is picking a fight, here. Why now? is the question.

I say we join the request. Furthermore, force the UN to choose: it's Iran or us. They go, or we go.

Couldn't the Iranian president's statement be considered an act of war? Although it's good he put it right out there - battlefield lines and all.

Of course Iran will NOT get kicked out of the UN but rather a new resolution will be adopted condemning Israel for any retaliation they take for the latest suicide bombing.
