My wife and I voted :-)
The polling place was empty though. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing.
But low voter turnout is supposed to help the GOP. Although the last election we had huge turnout and Bush won. So who knows.
They've made us show our IDs in Arlington when we've voted since the 90s. If the report is true that the Dims are talking about "irregularities", then CINO Kaine and his cohorts must be losing or have only a very slim lead (or "irregularities" are due to the lack of fiber in their diets"!).
I voted this morning in CA. Nobody asked for ID. Sad. Many illegals will cancel the votes of real citizens.
I think low turnout in CA could favor Reps.
CNN just called Virginia for Kaine!
Bastards are trying to discourage the late voters.

At Navy precinct in Fairfax, the teachers at the school where voting is taking place are out there with a bunch of cute kids and a big official-looking sign that says "Teachers Support Chuck Caputo and Tim Kaine!" I am shaking with anger, I cannot even believe that is legal.
This morning when I voted, Chris Craddock was there and so was Chuck Caputo. Chris looked so young in his khakis and polo next to Caputo in his blue suit. I wish Chris had thought to dress up.
I was asked for ID and everything was very well organized this morning.
But I still can't believe the teachers are allowed to stand out there with the kids and stump for Caputo. DISGUSTING.
NO WAY!!! They'll be surprised when Kilgore wins...huuummmm...sounding familiar.

The Mrs. and I voted this afternoon in Virginia (in liberal Northern Virginia). Asked voting official how things were going today - he told me turnout has been moderate but steady all day.
Surprisingly, as I entered the polling place, the ratio of Democrat to Republican electioneers were: 1 lone Democrat to 5 Republicans. The Dem approached me first, and I politely refused her "Voting guide" and turned to the Republicans for theirs.
Mrs. COBOL2Java and I proudly cast our votes for Kilgore, Bolling, McConnell, and Albo.
All things being equal in terms of turnout, then the GOP wins. VA is a GOP state. However, low turnout could be benefiicial to the Dems if their base is more energized.
My daughter and I already voted in McLean. I have to work on my wife to go vote. Every vote will be needed to win.
Hubby was talking to a very liberal friend who was bemoaning his wife's vote for Kilgore. The wife refused to vote for Kaine. The husband refused to vote for Kilgore. In general, I think they both vote RAT. Not today.
I think we will win this one. The libs are on TV (Like Gov. Richardson) making excuses. And how if they retain one of the two (NJ or VA) Govenors that it will be a resounding defeat for Bush!
Richardson is creating low expectations so he can crow it was a major victory once the results are in. NJ is a lock for the Dems. VA is questionable but still leaning towards the Dems. If we win in VA, it is a major victory for the GOP today and will blunt any momentum the Dems think they have going into 2006.
If they retain a Governor's seat in a state that despite McGreevy and universal corruption in 2002 and 2004 etc...still votes for their ruling Party (Democrats)...this is a defeat for Bush? LOL
Reality is that if Corzine doesn't do at least 5% above Forrester the Dems have had a bad election. If Forrester comes within 1-3% Dems are in trouble. Should the upset occur and he win? HUGE trouble for Dems. But, no, Dems should at least be ahead by a 5-7% victory march in N.J. That would be the expectation. Anything short speaks well of the Republican turnout and Forrester campaign.
Virginia is an independent state that votes for perceived moderate/conservative Democrats. If a Dem wins, it's not a huge defeat for Bush. It would be a bit demoralizing and we'd have to hear Dems crowing and stating this foretells '06, but it doesn't. Historically they should win. If they don't, it means Virginia is showing signs of moving more solidly Republican even while people converse about the GOP being in huge trouble. That wouldn't be good news for Democrats.
