I did the search and the numbers match. Christmas does go to holiday. It's OK, I never go in there anyway.

Try the searches on their Website!! They refuse to acknowledge Christmas for fear of offending but they sure come up with a lot of Islamic propoganda and stuff when you do a search for Ramadan. Nice that they want to include everybody EXCEPT Christians.

Bill is right. When I type in Christmas, Walmart responds with, Weve brought you to our Holiday page based on your search. I'd hate to pick on Walmart, but I must admit, I am troubled by this and hope that their discrimination against Christmas ceases immediately.
On the 'Holiday' page, the word Christmas appears at least 3 times. It seems more like the Christmas holidays is getting more attention from Wal Mart than others.. exactly opposite that the discrimination claimed.

Oh, this sounds bogus. I suspect one of those email hoaxes here. That does not sound like any corporate letter I've ever seen.

I'm pretty sure some of those closet-hiders post here. ; )
But you are right. You can not control the world. We all need to pick our battles.
To: big'ol_freeper
Oh yeh, like no one's going to shop there if they don't see Christmas splade everywhere. The dippy sheeple will never notice the difference.

Hey Budge; what do you know about this?

If this were some email of apocryphal origin this would be one matter. But this is the Catholic League's own press release for corn sakes. A Christmas tree is an evolution from Baal worship? Tell that to Martin Luther who invented it.
Walmart should be taught a lesson by Christians of all flavors, concerning biting the hand that feeds it. I say spend Black Friday at Target.

expect that "holiday message". Odd
Not odd, the Christmas holidays are given their own section instead of those items being buried throughout the site.. nothing weird here.

Well, Donohue is dead on with the Walmart search engine. HOWEVER, you can click one more time and get to about 8000 "Christmas" items.
It's a bit odd that neither Chanukah nor Kwanzaa get you to the same "Holiday" page with the same admonition. Discrimination? Maybe. Inconsistency? DEFINITELY!

Everything? I don't think so. Some stuff, but you'll find Chinese-made goods in every store in this country. I think you're incorrect, there, Jim.

Ok, hold on...it also says "View a list of items that match your search for "christmas"."
Click on that and you get all kinds of "Christmas". A hoax, indeed, I believe.

Yes, Walmart does present items for purchase which include the word "Christmas" in their title. But when type in "Christmas" in a search field, I expect to receive a response which reflects what I searched for. I don't want to be brought to a p.c. friendly "Holiday" page when I specifically enter in "Christmas". Christmas is the reason for the season.
To: mnehrling
But why have to slog through the stuff about other holidays. If I say Christmas I want Christmas. Google doesn't do this.

Wal-Mart is too big to be brought down?
US Steel.
Let he who thinks he stands, take heed lest he fall.
Reality is framed by the incarnation of God in flesh, and those who deny it will find themselves adrift in a pointless universe.
