Jeff Dahmer and Jesse Andersen were killed in a Wisconsin prison bathroom as I recall. The guy that killed them, Christopher Scarver, used a bar from the weight room to bludgeon them. (I had fun telling people that the cops determined it was "Mr. Scarver, in the bathroom, with the Lead Pipe").

Scarver, who thought he was Jesus, was already serving life without parole. For killing Dahmer and Andersen, I heard that the only thing the State could do was eliminate Scarver's snack privileges.

Compared to what Dahmer did to his victims, being beaten to death with a blunt object and being left alone after being killed is decidedly natural.
